No surprise for me the Aussies getting a hiding in first up game against France, the only surprise for me was they actually managed a goal against them. Cannot see them getting a point in that group watched both Tunisia and Denmark and they are just too fast and hard at it.

Great to watch some other upsets with Argentina and Germany already going down, love the Japanese fans and the way they clean up the stands after the game.
 

Australia has only sent one good side to the World Cup,2006..2010 was the fragments of the 06 squad..2022 appears to be the worst side we have sent to a Soccer World Cup.
Half of the Fifa board who approved the successful Doha bid.Have had there roles suspended..All paid under the table.
The oppressive Middle Eastern Heat,day or night.Looks like the upsets will continue.Will be tough going for the European teams.Even the Argentinians who are all based in Europe didn't run the game out.
Finally only one sanctioned drinking area.The brawls between the rival fans is only a matter of time.In England and Europe the Police do everything in the power to keep rival fans away from each of other. ..Including closing down train stations and only allowing visiting soccer fans at the station.
 

Australia are so far off the pace its embarrassing. Too small, too slow and way off in the skill department.

Watching Australia at the world cup is like watching AFLW

Agree on 2006, we should never have qualified this year, Peru would have been a better showing, seems to be the standard of Socceroos is in decline, as to is the A league, any decent players go to the big OS leagues, tbh A league has parallels with WAFL.

We clearly have gone backwards. There is no way where ranked in the top 50 soccer nations.Around 75-100 ranking imo.

Yep, I think we scored a cheap world cup entry, it will be the last for a while, and there is not a great deal coming through. Why didnt Rogic play?

Don't think Rogic has played a lot of club football since he left Celtic but I still think he would have been worth the risk.

Baz what I heard was since the transfer to West Brom.Steve Bruce uses Rogic as a high impact 75 minute substitute.
He has  not started on field so far this season
