Why did that not occur to Nixon? he is considered to be quite an intelligent president. Trump is said to be the least intelligent of all US presidents (even thicker than G dubya Bush) and has given James Buchanan and Andrew Johnson a run for their money for the dubious honour as the worst of all time.

Theres now 4 Supreme Court challenges on just Pennsylvania. The Electrol Commissioner needs to get his story right.Mechanical break down of a Voting machine or fraudulent software. Registered voters with marked address and dated before 8pm on election day.Anything after 8pm on election day under Pennsylvania law is deemed invalid..Unless it's an absentee ballot..Hand count required to sort this mess out.

Ark, he did and they actually started the recount but the republican loaded Supreme Court stopped it when the Bush lead started to decline, they gifted him the presidency by something like 570 votes. So anything's possible as this current supreme court is more heavily right wing than Bush's. Trump and some republicans are going mental about election interference when their own interference shafted Gore and the Trump supported Russian interference shafted Clinton, so pot calling the kettle black. Then again everything above is obviously fake news as it doesn't line up with Trumps relentless campaign of pathological lies.

He has no hope - give up, No Supreme Court will overturn the democratic will of the people. A politically charged decision just to install Trump as president would be so outrageous in a democratic nation that it cannot be countenanced. The rule of law applies.

As for not losing legal fights, some of the appeals have already been laughed out of court, here's the thing - Trump needs evidence to prove huge scale fraud. Undermining the democratic process through fabricated conspiracy stories wont stand up in court.

Gore demanded a recount, but guess who opposed it, the Republicans, in the end a recount was ordered, and didnt change the figures much, but what it showed was the punching machine was punching for Buchanan rather than Gore even though people had wanted to vote for Gore, we are talking 536 votes here and 1 solitary state. Which is a world away from the 50,000 votes Trump lost by in Penn, and the 5 or 6 swing states he lost in.

The real story in 2000 was how over 150,000 people were denied a vote by the republicans.

As for Nixon, he took electoral corruption to a whole new level, organizing for his plumbers to break into the oppositions campaign office and steal secrets, this wasnt some nut job conspiracy theory it was a real proven criminal act that sent several folks to jail, despite Nixon's disgraceful attempts to cover it up and torpedo justice, it culminated the lowest act of all Ford granting him a Pardon just to crow bar him from office. Justice isn't blind after all - it applies to some and and not others.

The republicans have pulled some appalling acts to hold onto power.

More recently there have been some very decent republicans coming forward, I read George Bushes dignified statement on the Biden win, thats the way a statesman acts.
