I can't see it either Baz as the undecided voter is around 7% which is much lower than 2016 when a lot jumped on board the Trump bandwagon at the last minute. He doesn't have enough of the swing states either to get to 270 electoral college votes plus the over 65's have turned against him. It could turn out to be a Biden landslide unless he starts clawing voters back.

I reckon there are a lot of folk in a similar position to the attached article - www.abc.net.au/news/2020-10-12/coronavir...ed-trump-us/12753568 .

He has a lot of support but it seems to me at least that the middle ground is where the igt will be!

As an aside it certainly paints a different picture abt our welfare network!

Yep, was reading this morning how the older vote has walked away.

Another thing to remember the huge hand he got when the FBI announced the investigation into Clinton just at a critical juncture. He is going to need something like that but bigger to turn this around.

Been watching WATERGATE - crikey Nixon really was the king of dirty tricks.

Yep there a heap of folk in a world of pain over there, they also reckon another 20,000 people will die between now and election day.

Trumps behavior since he became infected has becoming increasingly bizarre, standing there saying he is immune (no mask) while not confirming any testing is out and out weird.

Par for the course with Trump mate....I'm still shaking my head over his debate performance so this doesn't surprise me.

possibly -- Biden should win PA, which means trump needs all of the great lake states, plus the South minus Virginia -- he did it last time

Don't believe a lot of these 'toss up states' as they call them: Biden will win in Virginia and Trump, Texas, no matter what the polls say.

Biden has closed to just less that 2% behind Trump in Texas which is unheard of, thats a massive swing away from Trump in what is normally the bastion of Republicanism. A couple of news shows, one ABC the other Ch7 both reported that the US pollsters have made adjustments to their process after the shock of 2016 so they are expected to be significantly more accurate, that means with Biden leading by around double digits even allowing for the margin for error, Biden is miles ahead, so barring Trump digging up or making up some major BS, he's gorn. Cant be soon enough. As BC said his behaviour since contracting Covid has been verging on batshit crazy. May have a lot to do with being pumped full of steroids which will mess with anyone's mind but you dont want the USA Pres being in that much of an unstable mental state.

Maybe Sleepy Joe is a lot smarter than many think, he's made himself a fairly small target for the voters, nothing too outlandish re the economy and said all the right things regarding Covid and presented himself in a far more dignified and controlled way than Trump even under intense and often vicious personal attacks and schoolyard bullying by Trump. Classic rope a dope, he's allowed Trump to let his arrogance and massive ego get out of control and finally enough of the American voters can see what a dangerous vindictive Bafoon he is. Biden and his team have given Trump enough rope and he appears to have abliged them. But after 2016, one can be forgiven for believing anything can happen.

yeah good assessment SS, the polls have added another 4% to allow for Trumps last victory, even then Trumps polling v Clinton was a heck of a lot closer than this time around.

His figures in Texas are shocking as you say.
