It could do and will probably provide motivation for politicians and the Perth City Council to do something about the vagrants destroying Perth but good luck stopping racially motivated violence the foreign students will experience from our lovely Indigenous folk that go to Northbridge and surrounds looking for a fight and hurl disgusting language at anyone within verbal abuse range.

But on the positive side it makes a lot of sense being right on top of the Bus port and access to all train lines within a couple of hundred metres and it will definitely stimulate the Perth CBD economy.

Yes it does have its pro's and con's. It's a fantastic project but I too am a little concerned about the location and have no doubt it'll attract its fair share of deadbeats. Lectures will be held in the evening you'd think and moving to and from the campus will have its risks bit if they have security on site like they do with other uni's and a decent presence from the coppers it might work out ok.

I think it's a great idea and will be a significant boost to the number of people in the city centre which it desperately needs. A big boost for local businesses and hopefully there will be a big residential component in the development for student accomm. Cant see to many negatives in this one at this stage.

Huge for the local economy.. Will draw in lots of Indian students who go east. Why not Perth as it is closer to home.

Great Idea, transport will deliver right on the door step and it will use up the vacant land that sinking the rail line created and a lot more activity around the CBD, makes sense to sell of Mt Lawley for housing as well.

ECU should offer classes there in;

Karate 101
Taekwondo 101

Could help in cleaning out the street scum.

I reckon it is a great idea and long overdue in Perth.

The Shoe will get some decent uni student love too I suspect!
