Ideally Hong Kong should be an independent city state like Singapore.

It seems to me like China instead of feeling remorseful, they have grown more and more arrogant and cocky since Covid-19. I fear they only way to sort this out is either the whole world pounds China into submission with sanctions or we need an all about war. They are like out of control pit bulls roaming the streets.

Dred the thought but Hong Kong and Taiwan are potential flash points to start all out war. It is virtually a battle between eastern and western philosophies. China determined to take control of both and place them under communist rule versus western democratic nations determined to fight for the freedoms of Hong Kong and Taiwanese people.

Wasn’t Ming Dynasty known for “establishing ties” with the West? President Xi Wingding is very rapidly doing the opposite from everything I am reading and isolating China from the rest of Asia and definitely the Western world. Of course it will suit a few anti western state’s like Russia, North Korea and possibly Iran to establish ties with China for their political and strategic purposes.

China has outsmarted itself due to its diplomatic ignorance and arrogance and total lack of respect for anyone or anything but their own ambitions.
