Singapore Airlines already playing silly buggers with flights - return flights changed a week ago, and just now received an email to say the inward flights also changed.

I suspect that will not be the end of it.

A week ago I was advising family and friends trip was probably now 50/50.

Revised today to 10/90 - particularly as the guy we stay with in Perth has a 90+ yo mother (still "independently" living) for whom he is the primary caretaker.

Also doesn't seem much point in doing a 12 day trip, when we would need to self isolate for 14 days.

Singapore Airlines is also now offering full fare credits, for revised travel up to 31 March 2021.

Worldwide as far as I am aware for SQ.

Just to clarify - it is a waiver of rebooking fees, so effectively a credit.

However, when you rebook, you will need to pay a fare difference if there is one. I doubt a refund would apply if the new fare is lower.

I also have the feeling that fares are going to be very low for the foreseeable future - among those airlines that survive, that is.

ScoMo has finally decided to close our borders to everyone other than Australian residents as of tomorrow night. About a week too late for mine given just about all new cases have come into the country from overseas.

I think his statement is 3 or 4 weeks overdue. The latest virus cases were people coming in from overseas. Thankfully they got medical attention fairly quickly.

With all the stimulus packages being announced globally I was very tempted to revert my super from cash back into a conservative investment stream which included about 15% in shares....the market spiked early today but is settling back down again. I might wait a bit longer....

Mate , I would hang on, the bottom is a way to go yet.

Once US and UK get hit hard by this it will tank badly.

If Italy is anything to go by, they are now running at 8% Mortality rate, and went from 1 death to 3400 in 4 weeks..and that is with a vastly superior public health system to the US.

I moved from Growth 2.5 weeks ago to cash and am well over 100K better off for doing so,

Once the ASX settles into 4000 - 4500 territory my guess that will be the bottom and probably a good time to buy up and a discount unit price, at mo my fund is about 45 cents less than when I traded out to cash, so even at that rate I will grab a mountain more units.

As usual a lot will depend on what China does. If commodities start falling then all hell will break loose.
