Mate , I would hang on, the bottom is a way to go yet.

Once US and UK get hit hard by this it will tank badly.

If Italy is anything to go by, they are now running at 8% Mortality rate, and went from 1 death to 3400 in 4 weeks..and that is with a vastly superior public health system to the US.

I moved from Growth 2.5 weeks ago to cash and am well over 100K better off for doing so,

Once the ASX settles into 4000 - 4500 territory my guess that will be the bottom and probably a good time to buy up and a discount unit price, at mo my fund is about 45 cents less than when I traded out to cash, so even at that rate I will grab a mountain more units.

Yep...during GFC it went down to 3100 so a fair bit to go before it reaches that level if at all. I guess if we hadn't cashed out then those losses you mentioned would be on paper only but if we can pick when the tide is about to turn...and that's a BIG IF...we can make a few extra bucks by buying back in. Next couple of weeks will be interesting.

Do any of you who had travel plans including cruises still plan to go ahead if the WHO says it’s safe to do so? After watching Liam Bartlett interview a leading infectious disease specialist on 60 Minutes last night I reckon this could be the end of the cruise ship industry. Basically he said these cruise ships are perfect incubators for viruses.

You might want to reconsider after watching this.

Get on your bike.

Yes saw that DD. We've booked travel next March to go on safari at Kruger National Park followed by a 7 day cruise from Cape Town to Namibia and back to Durban. It'll be a case of watch this space I guess between now and then as you'd think the cruising industry would be fanatical in making sure everything is safe if it actually survives.

A lot will depend on how fast a vaccine can be rolled out for this BC. I think international travel will probably only be allowed again once there is a protection.

Yes Mike , I agree...I'll be very wary of travelling unless vaccinated but in saying that, the missus and myself have done a lot of cruising over the years and the level of sanitation varies between cruise lines...some have staff standing in doorways dispensing hand sanitisers all over the ship whilst others have SFA...an over-reaction due to Covid can't be a bad thing.
