There's a very nice little trip they're selling currently to Lapland in the Arctic circle for Christmas where you can go dog sledding, ice fishing and hacking around on the ice in a skidoo which we're looking pretty closely at....and extra $1k in cost but hey, why wouldn't you? :-)

Most frustrating thing is the convoluted online cancellation requests the airlines have set up, they are saying up to 30 days..ffs, and thats if they process it, been stuck on "new' status for ages now. Call centers are all shut down its all on line BS.

With the accom, I ended up just going direct the properties, the booking mobs had some stupid system, email the hotels direct and they were pretty good.

This bloke reckons all the airlines will be bankrupt by May if they're not already.

Peter Harbison, who heads up one of Australia’s peak aviation consulting firms, has a doomsday prediction for the world’s airlines.
Qantas and Virgin have already taken drastic steps to curtail flights and do whatever else they can to hunker down for the duration of the coronavirus nightmare.
But Peter Harbison, who heads up one of Australia’s peak aviation consulting firms, warned yesterday that the global industry is facing an Armageddon scenario.

“By the end of May 2020, most airlines in the world will be bankrupt,’’ his Centre for Asia Pacific Aviation predicted.

Yep, this is a worse case scenario for them.

The survivors will be the big national carriers, mainly in the gulf that have state backing , plus all the other national carriers, smaller operators will be go to the wall, a lot are already bust Malaysian have been stuffed for years.

If they had any clues they would be grounding flights as soon as possible to save quids as Qantas are.

The big banks now have to step up and provide some leeway for these big corporations who are big employers, by reducing or deferring loan payments, that needs to happen all the way down the line to your general home owning punter who is facing layoffs & redundancies, plus small business owners, even those down to sole traders like myself, who have loans and lines of credit to service, I'm in Building design and drafting and enquiries have stopped dead. It cant all be left to the Government/tax payers.

What smaller banks? There are no building societies anymore. I can only think of P&N Bank here and Bendigo Bank.

The RBA started talking about commencing quantitative easing a couple of weeks ago so you'd think all of the banks will be ok.

Still not a Ban , just advice, you can still go OS if you want.

Borders are still open

Meanwhile Mcclown has chosen to ignore the advice of 400 doctors and not control movement into the sate..instead Cook comes out and simply asks people.
