Freo posting big loses again after the dark days years ago, no doubt the Rosich fiasco and paying him out played a part.

More concerning is the collapse in membership, that must be a real concern.

Yep huge payouts to Rosich and Lyon plus poring more money into the girls. Eagles will find out that will hit their bottom line.

Big task for Justin is to win back the hearts and minds of the Freo faithful. Hogan and pre season injuries again not helping.

Yep, we really need the next batch of youngsters to grab the bull by the horns. Hopefully the clean slate pays off before too long.

If you’re referring to them having a bad run and losing members in down years, don’t think I can think of a club that doesn’t suffer in these down years.

If you’re referring to them having a bad run and losing members in down years, don’t think I can think of a club that doesn’t suffer in these down years.

Spot on, they are struggling in the new venue, its soon dawned on followers thats its very easy to get tickets the day before for most games and cheaper than a membership as well.

Interesting my firm has seats for all Optus games, and this is the first year they have scrapped the ballot ( you had to nominate games you wanted and hoped you got one from a heap of people in a draw ), last year they could not get rid of dockers games, so now they are just buy on the day.

Demand has totally dropped off.

Some deadset muppet in The West is trying to drum up the idea of having a 3rd WA based afl team with Tassie likely to enter that comp in the next few years and the supposed need for a 20th team to make it an even draw.
Fair dinkum we already have 1 near basket case of a side in WA adding a 3rd would make the Gold Coast Suns look like world beaters in comparison.
There just isnt anywhere near enough talent currently to fill their existing 18 teams let alone adding another 2 sides (90 players), in my honest opinion one or 2 of those perennially hopeless basket case Vic sides (NM, StK, Foots, Melb) should make way or merge beforehand to bring Tassie in not to mention Canberra and Darwin are better options in new growing ARF areas!

Is was not too long ago that Footscray won a flag and in 2018 recorded strong revenue and profit - have not seen 2019 results. Surely Dockets are a bigger basket case.
