When are Freo going to get rid of this bum?

Better wait and see what he has or hasn't done, sounds bad at the moment and hard to defend him on whats been announced. Just have to wait and see, I would be more concerned with him not fronting training unless the club directed him to.

that's the issue a/man...does his on-field upside outweigh the off-field downside sufficiently enough to keep him at the club and if so, how will it go down with the young blokes who have the need for a clean image and to stay out of the shit drummed into them from day 1?

you could be right. I guess the other thing the club needs factor into the equation is that if they stick by him, he's no certainty to repay that faith on-field given his recent history of injury problems.

well...sorry a/man but to me that's crap. you either give him the flick or wrap your arms around him. that's neither one nor the other and suggests the club doesn't have a clue what to do with him. it's a ticket each way so to speak....

yes...me too. I think it's sending the wrong message...if it was his first or even second error in judgement then maybe ok...let's see if he can turn it around but for mine given his history he should be terminated.

Yes on the surface it doesn't appear to be a great decision does it. I would have thought he was gone, maybe something comes out in the next few days to explain the decision.

I don't think there is any limitation on what the club could impose including severing his contract. I'm a bit surprised by the decision as he has continued these offences over his entire career and it is certainly not setting a good example to the young guys. If the club isn't careful there could be others following in his foot steps.

It will be hard for fans to forgive him too A/m. He has burned whatever good will there would have been and I think there were a lot of Freo fans that were prepared to give him a go and let the past stay in the past. He's got a ton of work to do to redeem himself not only in the eyes of his team mates but also the eyes of public opinion. Maybe he needs to get involved in a charity to appreciate the wonderful opportunities he has been given in life. He's got an extraordinary talent and the world is his oyster but I suspect he likes the grog a bit too much.
