I see Bennell has done another calf....you'd think if it's ongoing then that would be all she wrote for one H Bennell. It's a shame really as he promised so much but on-field and off-field issues probably means he'll never reach his full potential.

Yeah its not looking good BC. Looks like a minimum 3 week rehab which takes us to the 2nd week of march. He wouldnt therefore take any part in the pre- season competition and he may be even struggling to get up for round 1 of the WAFL. Very unfortunate for the guy but maybe like Morabito his body is just not up to the demands of AFL footy.

Yes A/man.... I meant his calf issues as on field given they seem to be happening during games and/or on the training track.

Hopefully Harley will be good to go for round 2 of the WAFL....not sure Freo should risk him in round 1 of the WAFL

I remember talking to some mates of mine about this time last year and I was of the opinion he would never play at AFL level again, I've seen nothing to change my mind, I really hope I'm wrong because he is a huge talent and you wish the very best for any young guy trying to play at this level. The other problem with his off field behaviour could re appear also to complicate the situation. He must be completely frustrated with the ongoing problem. Incidentally I don't think those issues were as bad as the media makes out, he is certainly not a Shane Yarran type. I wish him all the best.

It looks like Bennell has been taken back into Freo....let's see how he goes.

Probably not the brightest thing that Hamling ever said to dub Harley "a potential Brownlow medallist" .
