I think Griffen will either call it a day under his own steam or told he is no longer wanted.Zac Clarke is the same. I feel for Clarke as he was so promising but ijnury cut him down.
Only the fact that for some reason, the club signed Dan Pearce on for two years he will be at Fremantle next season.
I am sure that they will shop Matt Taberner around and hopefully we get something for him.He has been a bad deal.So much promise, but so little reward.
Ballas I think will get another on year deal.But if we can secure Matera from the Suns then things may change.

good summation a/man. the only one who may get a second chance is Collins. would they delist him then rookie list him next year in case he develops as I reckon he's got some promise and Alex Pearce is no certainty to come back and make a mark given he's been out for so long?

58s perhaps one could ask why you care whether I care? But to answer your question I think a lot of modern footy is predicated on a premise of selfishness. I think that Dawson is a rare breed. I consider he is the opposite and puts the team first rather than worry about his stats versus the player he is playing on. Hence, my interest in whether he was selected.

As to my allegiances: I have been a member of one WAFL club (swan Districts); I have never been a member of any AFL/VFL team. I have never supported the West Coast Eagles. In fact if they won one game in 1 million years that would be 2 games too many. I have supported Freo in the past as a counter balance to the West Coast Eagles. However, they are getting more and more like the Eagles and specifically hanging onto the coat tails of the Eagles with respect to the host club alignment and as a consequence my support has ceased unless they are playing the Eagles. I have already said that of the 21 Freo games that were available to be watched by me either live or in replay in 2017 I have watched one game.

Hopefully that adequately explains it to you 58s and now perhaps you can get back to the actual topic..

My thoughts

Pearce another bad list decision by the club to extend his contract for extra two years is disgraceful.
Agree with Taberner being used as bait to look at a more consistent like for like player
Ballas doesn't deserve another contract but I think Ross likes him so that means a lot and he will be there next year
Collins shows a bit and is worth persevering with.

Spot on Ballantyne has been a liability now for about 2 - 3 seasons, as you say should get the flick, in fact in they had been smart traded him last year when he wanted out, but as you say Lyon seems to have a thing going there so another retrograde decision.

Bazza it is quite remarkable that you can make that sort of comment especially given your propensity to find fault with everything they seem to do. It is almost as though you are disappointed that they haven't achieved more and are disappointed when they lose. But surely that couldn't be right, could it?
