Ed - Not up to it at this stage
Victorians still laugh at West Aussies because of the way we bailed out the vfl and then allowed it to be called it the AFL!

I didn't see the game, what did he do wrong? I thought he was actually going quite well in previous matches this year.

Wasn't his best game but still managed about 20 disposals and was probably in the middle of the team so far as effectiveness went. Had over 30 last week and has been playing quite well. Not sure what The flag is on about.

What can I say but a ridiculous comment from you TFAF. One player I had my doubts about has really turned a corner, Connor Blakely. He's an inside animal and just what Ross Lyon would be looking for from his younger brigade going forward. Helps spread the load and makes it tougher for the opposition to shut our midfield down.

Also Matt Taberner, by far his best game of AFL footy. Hopefully he can bring that every week and a three pronged attack with Tabs, Kersten and McCarthy provides plenty of options.

Also another master-stroke from Ross Lyon. Walters was going through the flattest form of his career. Threw him in the middle to find the footy and had an outstanding game.

Still pinching myself how we got Brad Hill so cheap. All the recruits are giving us exactly what we would have hoped for.

How about providing some context as to why you think he's not up to at rather than just saying he isn't.

Why would you have had doubts on Connor Blakely DD?
He was an inside monster in the SD League side as a 17yo!
Also was B.O.G for Peelmantle in last years WAFL GF.

I think some AFL fans have unrealistic expectations of a young guy in his first season or two BH. I remember Blakely being a standout for Swans in 2014 and I think we all knew then that he was going to make it at the next level. Griffin Logue is the same, he is potentially a 200 game player for the Dockers but will take a few years to find his feet.

Probably similar was said about Lachie Neale when he was at Swans.

Griffin Logue apparently very good on the weekend. On Blakely thought his second half was sensational yesterday. Kept Merrett to roughly five touches in the third quarter and I think he managed to find the ball roughly 18 times himself.

Freo is moving along nicely, probably won't make finals this year but should be close. They are developing a good core of players who need 50 plus games before they mature and gel properly. I'm happy with the way its heading at the moment.
