GWS wont regret anything, they will trade him next year when there is a stronger draft, they had no interest Freo's pick for this year.
McCarthy and his manager are the stupid ones - why sign the contract extension ?
Freo also need to be prepared to lose a decent player to get a decent forward in, Ross Lyon wants to get something for nothing.

And who are they going to trade him to he only wants to play at Freo, we don't know what Freo offered him what we do know is that GWS said early on the piece that they weren't going to trade him so it wouldn't of mattered what Freo's offer was anyway, unless you've spoken to Chris Bond.

GWS have shot themselves in the foot they now have a player on their list who doesn't want to be there just to save face.

I think the person that has shot themselves in the foot is McCarthy and his manager who signed the contract extension.
they liked the money on offer then but are now crying homesickness ?
give me a break.
GWS still have the upper hand as he is contracted till 2017, they will trade him at the end of 2016 when the draft is stronger..
Freo have not filled their biggest weakness - a key back or forward which is where they got exposed in the finals

Its over now and was some time ago.

Dockers ended up empty handed yet again.

Just not good at this caper, some other clubs around the country did bloody well.

I would say his manager more so than Cam has done wrong by him, must all be tough guys where you come from imagine suffering from home sickness how week as piss is that.

As for Freo from what I've seen of Alex Pearce he should be can hold down a key back spot , and Fyfe will play more forward which is why they traded for HB might not be good enough to win a GF but top four is a still a reality imo.

Spot on GWS held all the card, and the dockers were the deperados , succesive failures over the years to nail a big in demand name are showing up badly now, there appears to be a lack of talent in the footy department trade time, I also think freo seem to think that they can get good deals done without giving up decent bait, i.e. giving up a named player that would attract, interest, sure they got bennell cheap , but the bottom line is not a single other club in the country was interested, the bloke is trouble was a capital T, more importantly he certainly won't solve their big man problems up forward, and with McPharlane gone they may have some down back now as well. They are going backwards at a decent rate now and will be lucky to get near the flag any time soon, the list is old and stale and they can't secure big names.

Well well well if it isn't inspector Clouseau can you tell us what Freo offered Cam no you cant can you stop talking shit again, if your going to post something at least back it up, as for HB we could of offered him ten million over ten years no doubt the AFL might have to bali out the mighty sponging bloods.

Freo should make a play for joondy's adams, he would be good value as a big back or forward, for a couple of years. I think he could be another troy wilson...

as long as they keep their hands off Delahunty, Yarran and Boland...it was bad enough the beags knicking Pridda and Sinclair after we brought him over without losing more mature age players.

Yep I think Adams would be in there sights and unfortunately for you BC Yarran may well be another option.
