After watching the Freo V GC game today and being at the game last week. I would have to say Freo look very wobbly.

Mighty Mac down back can't keep it up you would think.

Our midfield were shown up badly against Richmond.

Ballantyne missing everything.

Hill missing for too long today.

Tabbs not taken the next step.

On the positive side Pearce down back - though no McPharlin or Johnson did pretty well

Pav held his marks tonight

Really thought the dorks would come firing today, but they were very lucky to get away with the 4 points, they looked flat tired and struggled in the conditions, their older players look like they are starting to hit the wall, its a long season and they are looking shaky, in short the break could not come at a better time, they look like they need it. Should be right after that.

Id say being 10-1 they are. And if they get a home prelim final, that just may get them to the big dance, then anything can happen.
but I still rate Sydney & Hawthorn too, the Hawks just look like they are timing everything to precision. Sydney look to have their little flaws, but come September I think the perhaps the memories of 2014 will make them very hard to beat in 2015. I think WCE & Collingwood are in the same boat. Both capable but we just wont know until the finals. Still a long way to go for them. Richmond and North are perennial teasers and the rest is a raffle for who make up the final numbers. Port are no hope of top 4 now. They have really lost the plot.

I think its still between Freo, Sydney & Hawks. Maybe WCE & Pies can throw a spanner in, but I am not sure.

I don't think this result would have surprised anyone who has watched the Dockers over the past 4 weeks. They have been winning games playing very poorly so it was predictable that when they came up against a decent team on an unfamiliar ground they would be blown away. The worry for Fremantle is that their forward line which was averaging nearly 100 points a game in the first 8 rounds has now become completely dysfunctional and there doesnt seem to be an obvious solution. They are still getting their share of clearances and inside 50's but nothing is happening when they get into scoring positions. They need another strong tall forward marking option other than Pav who is being blanketed every week.

This could go either way from here, this could be the loss that jolts them back to reality or the whole season could go downhill although given their draw and those of the Eagles Swans and Hawks, things would have to go really bad for them to fall out of the top 2. Either way they need to break the mental hoodoo they seem to have against Hawthorn.

They just don't kick enough goals to go all the way.

They are also an ageing squad and they are looking pretty cooked already.

They wont hang on to a top 2 spot, top 4 yeah, they will beat the comp duds but they have some awkward games to come, Richmond at the G and I reckon the Eagles are ripe to touch them up, and a nightmare scenario is unfolding if they have to face them in a final at Subi, which is almost certain.

They are looking pretty ordinary at this present moment. They have the ruckmen that every other club wants, the ever nimble Sandy and the next big thing in Clarke so what has happen anchor? Walters trying to be a tough ducking guy again, what a clown. Pav will not lift the cup this year

I think that it is no coincidence that the Dockers have gone backwards since Johnson has been out injured. He is possibly their most important player besides Fyfe and Sandilands because he provides them with run and rebound off their half back line. Hopefully he is only a few weeks away from a return.
