Razor had a Pretty ordinary game today mate.. did a couple of good things but not outstanding.
Came up because Striker had a rest today with a niggling injury and kept for EP game.

Average player at best but on the plus side the property stewards love him as he always finishes games with a clean jumper.

Outer, have some respect mate, he is 170+ games into his career and contrary to what Cardy's thoughts are he actually played well on the w/end. He is also a local product and Subi can not vouch for too many of those........................

Surely you cant be serious in your assesment of Bartholomew! He was the barometre for WP for a fair chunk of his career I believe in the times I have seen him play, as sn SD fan he is admired, plays the game fair, doesnt play for brown paper bags full of cash unlike some and has been a true WAFL servant
Beneath the Southern cross i stand, on Bassendean Oval, can in hand, Swan Districts, you Farkin Beauty!

Well said Swandog. Whilst Razzas form may have tapered off recently his performance over career & his loyalty to West Perth should never be questioned.

I don't think there has been any statement over Razors loyalty to the club or his performance over his career
The assertion made was his form of late - maybe some should keep on track....

As for being a barometer for the team - considering the general play of the team (take out the Swans last ten minutes) over the season to present - maybe he still is!!

I thought his second half on Saturday was pretty good. He took some strong marks a kicked a ripper goal. Razor has always been in a tagging role so he flies under the radar most of the time.

Yes Razor does not become one of the stats stars in his usual role of tagger if hes given that on a game.
Sadly though Razors execution of the ball has been questionable along with many others I might add
His body of work of late has been less than expected both by himself and the team.

He does not stand alone in needing reserve matches for form - but he is the one with Crispy that the coaching squad chose.
Others will come I am guessing

Amazing now it has come to me running Razor down by a couple of posters and TWISTING my comments. :( VF Razors loyalty and his past loyalty are NOT IN QUESTION and I cannot understand your comment? Are you saying I am questioning his loyalty and career at WP? Far from it! SWANDOG what are you insinuating nothing was said re paper bags or his dedication but all of a sudden you make a statement that has nothing to do with the 2 quotes you gave? You are stating the obvious... What is your point?

I was asked how he went and gave an answer.. Talked about him playing this week and thought he was in with a chance... e.g

quote

Razor had a Pretty ordinary game today mate.. did a couple of good things but not outstanding.
Came up because Striker had a rest today with a niggling injury and kept for EP game.
If it was toss up on who came up I would of preferred Crispy as a bit more hard at it.

Someone will be dropped to the reserves when Striker comes back in. Possibly Razor but his 2 goals were handy so maybe someone else.
Crispy had a good one as did a couple of other reserves.

unquote

So it is been taken I am running a player down :( Far from it and I acknowledge his loyalty to the club and his game record. So why was that bought up? That was NOT the point. It is an insult if you think so Leedy.

The fact is Razor has not been on the top of his form and it became apparent last year.
The selection panel decided to drop him down to reserves and give some of the Reserves a run who have been playing well in the Reserves ... e.g Lynchy,Rhode and Shannon
These 3 players have played well and maintained their place in the League!!!

I did say Razor came up because of Striker being rested.
I did say above he had a chance to be selected this week. But who would we drop.
3 League players were dropped being Manzone,Razor and Crisp.
I did say Manzone had proved he was playing well in Reserves and he was elevated

Bill is giving guys a go which is great to see and they are proving themselves.

So now we have Leedy and Winger having a go at me for my views. Swandog and VF stating the obvious and that has nothing to do with my comments. I would be the last person to attack Razor but it appears I am being accused of this? Far from it

They are my views and this is what a bulletin board is all about. I appreciate other peoples views which ARE SADLY LACKING on this site.

Bottom line it is up to our coaching team to select the best side possible each week and they are doing a pretty good job of it this year in my opinion.
Thursday night will be interesting and as I said I would not be surprised if Razor is selected but having said that I wouldnt be surprised if he was dropped back to Ressies.

With Striker comming back WHO DO YOU SUGGEST BE DROPPED??

As I said in my last post it is the Coaches call.

Glad to see that at least you didnt Twist my comments Growler to say I was attacking Razor. Love the guy and proud to see him in the Red and Blue and I know he will bust his guts at whatever level he plays.
This message represents the official view of the voices in my head

Haha, Cardy, calm down mate. If you look back to the numpty Outerseagulls comment, that is what everyone is referring too, I did say that your assessment of Razors game was a bit off, that is opinion mate.
