You should stick to your Grounds posts SHINEY Duck

Now another thing Knapton dealt with was the CHN 7 Broadcasts he said the Ratings were great.. Yeh sure most probably as a lot of SANFL supporters dont bother going to he games any more. A couple of clubs are crying poor due to decreases in Pokies income,Food and beverage sales.
Minus the pokies most probably see the same here.

We have 3 good G7 clubs entrenched in the 4 who will represent the WAFL faithful. Cant see many turning up for the GF even if Swans are their with their huge following not many neutral supporters will bother

We will have a Professional side with a full time paid coach playing a part time players club.. The G7 clubs will have to pay their players up to $20,000 out of their salary cap because of WAFC changes and money saving conditions they have bought in.
Not so EP who will be fully funded by the EAGLES

A quote from the FOOTY ALMANAC

The feeling is that the AFL clubs are better resourced and more sophisticated in 2014 and the flow-on effect to the aligned WAFL clubs should be even more significant than it was in past attempts. Recent news that West Coast are paying the full-time wage of East Perth coach Brian Dawson is evidence of the kind of benefit aligned clubs can gain – especially as some other senior coaches are part-time.

Unquote

I see the fence sitters who will at seasons end be doing more screaming than they are now. Watch this space.
The lessons from 2000 and 2001 have not been learned

EPFC before winning in 2000 under the alignment won their last premiership in 1978..on their own merit

Before the 2000 alignment these 3 Esteemed WAFL supporters had this to say and they were wise words

A host club review conducted for the WAFC by Brian Atkinson (WAFC historian), John O’Connell (Claremont FC president 1992-1997) and Alan East (football writer) after the 1999 season concluded the arrangement was a “… significant and serious impost on the integrity of the WAFL competition.”

A flashback from the last time the alignment was scrapped.. Bronte cracked the shits

News from the SUNDAY TIMES on the end of the "host" club arrangement;
Chaos looms in new draft
By KIM HAGDORN
16dec01
THE WAFL's controversial host-club system is doomed.

The system of allocating developing West Coast Eagles players to East Perth, and Fremantle Dockers players to South Fremantle, will be officially scrapped next week after an 8-1 vote against it continuing by WAFL clubs. East Perth was the only club in favour of the system.
Royals president Bronte Howson stormed out of Monday's WAFL president's council meeting when it became clear his club's immediate future was under siege.

The playing futures of all borderline and developing Eagles and Dockers players have been thrown into chaos.

Under a compromise agreement, Eagles and Dockers squad members will be divided among the nine WAFL clubs through a draft.

Two distinct geographical divisions will determine "allegiance" to the Eagles or Fremantle in the allocation of players.

Eagles players will be drawn into clubs north of the river – East Perth, Subiaco, Swan Districts and West Perth.

Fremantle squad members will go into a draft process for selection to South Fremantle, East Fremantle, Claremont, Perth and Peel Thunder.

Only Chris Judd and Ashley Hansen, drafted by the Eagles last month, will be at East Perth, while Dockers Scott Thornton and Andrew Siegert are expected to stay at South Fremantle.

I'll guess we'll just have to wait and see come finals time cardy. Can you imagine players who have qualified for WAFL finals but have come from other clubs such as Hutchings, Sinclair, Brennan et al being committed to winning a flag with EP once the AFL season is over? There'll certainly be no incentive as it's not like they're trying to press claims for elevation up into the WCE senior side...I think WART are a good chance to go out in straight sets.

Good post.. Hutchy shit 2 GF in a row under different clubs. Now that is unusual.
Imagine He would be over the moon
Any SD Subi bred players there imagine how they would feel if EP EAGLES played SD or Subi.. How bad would they feel. Interesting point BC

You will have to explain WART and FART to me one day BC :)

Cardy I had the misfortune this morning to catch the last few minutes of the interview this morning. The comments I heard were base and baseless, hypocritical and contradictory to say the least. For example, on the one hand he mentioned about the advantages of the speculated new broadcast insofaras greater flexibility in scheduling of matches and on the other he praised "East Perth's" commitment to the Saturday 2.05 schedule.

Speaking of the purported plan vis a vis brodcast plan - from his comments about the only thing that has been decided was that it was related to being televised. Which grounds? When the games would be played? etc etc apparently it will all be decided one miraculous morning.

To summarise my view of his comments is that all WAFL supporters should dread the decisions which are likely to be made in the future because they will be SINGULARLY and CONSISTENTLY against the integrity and well being of the WAFL competition. Basically all decisions will be in accord with the wishes of the two WA domiciled AFL teams no matter the adverse impact on the WAFL competion and/or clubs.

SWAN 42 Exactly my thoughts. He talked in circles and should of been a PR man or maybe he is as they all are trying to sell A SHIT PRODUCT.
Surely a lot who listened or can on my first post will see it for what it was. I must admit I sat listened in awe at a guy who went around in circles depending on what the 91.3 guys asked but nothing came out except BULLSHIT

That is why I wrote a life story because I was pissed off. :(
Bottle shop in Esperance would most probably be above him but he does have a quick mind I will give him that. .

One of the unfortunate things is the MEDIA sucks it up... They tend to crawl up the bastards arses ... Must admit the 2 young guys on 91.3 asked the right questions they just didnt get the Truthful answers..

The broadcast it is on the first post on this thread for those that missed it. Click on the link

Love your stuff Cardy, unfortunately it makes too much common sense for our WAFC. We have to wonder what is the agenda of the West Coast's royals? If they really wanted an even comp, would they not agree to the extra day? Or is it win at any costs....even if it dents whatever credibility they have left? I hope Bill makes a statement either way. Send the reserves and give the bird, or say 'let's go for the 100k and fuck EP and their WAFC supporter base"!! What the black blue & gold pricks have to remember is that the day will come when they want to get back into the WAFL fold. I hope the G7 have long memories.

Heres a plan take the strongest side to Foxtel Cup, play that side in the Resi's against East Eagles and the Resi's side to front up against the Eags Reserves aka East Perth League. Sending a "up yours" message to the WAFC

Tricky mate the Ressies need to win as well and I would like to see them at least play a GF... What an enigma.. but then $100,000 would be nice if our guys are good enough. Shit we beat Box Hill who were reigning VFL premiers and hadnt lost a game this year. There side was strong and we played a lot of reserves.
Now I think the WAFL would certainly have something to say if we Played our league side in the Ressies and our Ressies in the league..
I would certainly love to rub a bit of shit into the WAFC Face but sure they would find a rule to FINE our club a lot (shit it even might be 100,000 :) dollars)

I really thing the club will send a side that has the majority of the KEY league players in it and a maybe 4/5 ressies.. but certainly a stronger mix than what you would normally put in a Foxtel game.

Saturday who gives a Fark.. I wont be going anyway as I am not giving EP Eagles my gate money. Ok I know I will get snipped by the usual idiots from elsewhere but hey I do love my club and that is obvious.

Saturdays league side I would bring up the ressies who did not play in the Foxtel to give them a run at league level and throw in the League guys who did not get a Foxtel game. It would be interesting.

I feel the EPFC WOULD BE INSULTED BUT WHO REALLY CARES AS THEY CERTAINLY DIDNT DO US A FAVOUR........

Sure the club will work it out. Maybe go with our Box Hill side with a couple of ressies who have performed well lately in the side.

The worst outcome is we could lose both games but I really think we should make the FOXTEL game our priority at the club.

THE WAFC/WAFL DOESNT GIVE A SHIT WHAT WE THINK AND PAY US NO RESPECT AND DO WHATEVER THEY WANT SO WHY SHOULD ANY WAFL CLUB PAY THEM ANY COURTEOUSLY AND TREAT THEM WITH RESPECT??????
