WPFC INJURY LIST AS AT 7 June...

Gaudy and Razor will be back. Chris will still be out with Eye injury since this list and pretty sure Max Alexander back in Ressies this week. :)
Not sure about injuries last week but pretty sure we came out of it clean.

SIDELINED PLAYER LIST UPDATE

AS AT FRIDAY 6 JUNE 2014
PLAYER INJURY EXPECTED RETURN DATE

DAN ACRES KNEE INDEFINITE
MAX ALEXANDER SUSPENSION 1 WEEK
RAY BARTHOLOMEW CHEEK / EYE FRACTURE 1 WEEK
JAMES BATTERHAM KNEE 5 WEEKS
MARTIN GERAGHTY HERNIA 2 WEEKS
MATT GUADAGNIN CORK 1 WEEK
CHRIS KEUNEN EYE 1 WEEK
SHAYNE ZANETTI BACK 3 WEEKS

WHEN WE LAST MET

Close game and first one of the season for both clubs. As to be expected both teams lacked match fitness but it was a good close game at Moss Street.. Reserves went down as well in a close game.

Match lineups and score line from that match. No huge changes at WP.. Teams for this game will be out later tonight.

Although I haven't been impressed by our TEAMS footy this year, I still actually believe that on their day they can and will beat any WAFL team (incl. the Eagles Reserves)
This week is a must win game to ensure we aren't continually on a tight ropes edge for the remainder of the year
My prediction is also at topsy-turvy of top 4 team performances for weeks to come
The ladder will alter and if it's to be to our benefit ....... it will be in OUR hands to control....OR LOSE

Agree mate thats why I had a look at the fixtures. All is not lost even if we go down in this game.. I noted with interest that our last 4 games are
EF at Joondalup again
Peel
CLA
Perth

Looking forward to this game as both teams are pretty well even albeit EF having a couple of bigger guys but that is nothing new to our side.
Seva seems to be holding up the Fort for Chris at least in the rucks.

Cant see huge changes from Bill and the Match comittee this week except for the inclusion of Gaudy and Razor 2 will go down. Not many other positions or players deserved to be dropped in my opinion.
EF wont make any huge changes either so it will be battle royal
Getting off to a good start will be important and both sides know this so it will be all in for the first qtr anyway. Will be a few tired players on both sides at qtr time.
Interchanges will be important and from what I have seen Bill has that down pat now looking at last few games. Maybe quick rotations will be the go?

Lots of danger players and the EF squad looks good including
McGough, Obriens,Bristow.. Lester Smith is looking good as is Eardley,Peake etc... Hopefully if any EF players are dominating changes will be made EARLY rather than to late as happened in a couple of previous games.

Will put the selections up later tonight for both teams but cant see any major changes.. to either side.

WEATHER is looking great for Saturday so looking forward to a Great game of WAFL
FOOTY :cheer:

Couldn't agree more guys. As i stated earlier season defining game for us. Lose and it's going to be hard to make up the 2 games. Hopefully the boys will bring there best footy to the park.

Teams for Saturday... click for bigger image :) Have a good game looking forward to a win.. These are the extended lists so players could come up or go down
EF 4th on ladder. 24 points A win will make us EQUAL 4th on 24 points but we will be higher on % so get 4 spot outright..
I can see this 4th spot being a contest between us and EF.. Next week EF v Subi and we have a bye.. Go Subi :)

Looking at side not bad but see Marcus Adams OUT :( Shit that is going to hurt us as being doing a load of work. EF will be happy with that.
Couple of the ups from Ressies? Love the guys but not in this crucial game.

Shit 2 out and I AM worried... No Gaudy No Marcus??? :(
Both key players -

Reserves team best of luck to Paul and the Guys..Good to see Max out there again
EF 2ND ON THE LADDER 8 wins 2 losses.. This will be test to show you are the best

M Alexander, B Antonio, C Branch, C Chalmers, J Embley, M Fowler, M Geraghty, P Harvey, J Kirwen, A Lynch, B Mcnamara, M Mcphee, S Money, J Morrow, D Munns, B O'Regan, J Regan, D Rohde, K Shannon, D Sorgiovanni, T Sutherland, M Van Berlo, B Walton, B Wilhelm, T Young,

Colts Have a good one boys.. Big test but it appears you are improving as the year goes on and that is what it is all about.
EF 5th on ladder so they will be out for a win..

Coach Craig Thomas

N Alexandre, A Allen, M Antonio, M Ashfield, N Beutel, A Charlie, M Douglas, K Egan, K Fullgrabe, J Gray, C Hinchcliffe, C Lynch, T Manners, W Michell, T Moulton, B Mountford, J Nolan, M Peirce, D Robertson, L Roe, S Rotham, J Sheehan-Nel, A Smith, M Walley, A Wenn,

No Adams is a big loss, EF are out and out favourites now, we don't have any tall key forwards, oops !!!

And there is more bad news Leedy :(

From the WPFC Website

RAY Bartholomew is set to make his return for West Perth this Saturday against East Fremantle at Arena Joondalup with Jordan Jones in doubt while Matt Guadagnin, Chris Keunen and Andrew Krakouer have again been ruled out.

Premiership player and 160-game veteran Bartholomew will make his return from a fractured cheekbone suffered in the Round 8 win over Peel Thunder while Jones is battling a medial ligament injury suffered in last week's win over Claremont at the Showground.Meanwhile, ruckman Keunen will miss his second straight week with an eye injury, veteran premiership midfielder Guadagnin is out for his second straight game with a corked thigh and Krakouer will again miss with a knee problem.

Despite Peel claiming the Sharks have a 'star studded' lineup the reality is that the Sharks have been blown away by the top 3 teams and only fell over the line against the Falcons first up. Basically they haven't beaten any of the contenders for the flag so I'm not overly confident against a desperate Falcons team this weekend. Certainly an important game.
