Congratulations to West Perth on a great performance. I have no doubt that they were the better team on the night from the parts of the match that I saw. They seemed to have more numbers around the ball than Box Hill and were running better. If they had kicked straight the Falcons would have won by 3 - 4 goals I reckon.


To be honest I was fairly underwhelmed by Box Hill after they had been written up as just about invincible in the VFL. If they are the best team in the VFL then I reckon the WAFL is a better standard competition. That is taking into account that Box Hill were probably not at full strength but West Perth had a lot missing as well.

How about having the semi at Arena Joondalup and promote it in the local area?. Far better than playing it in front of an empty stadium like last night. Yes I know its a made for TV competition but surely it would be better for TV viewers to see some people????

Leederville would most probably be a better option as more central
and we could enjoy a few beers at the Subi bar...

Yes I agree it does say that = WA's premiers are better than theirs and Ill bet that is very very hard for them to swallow right about now - there will be many questions asked by and about the Boxhill hawks in their hometown hahahaha

Loved the TV coverage - embarrassing commentary and not very professional AT ALL. No homework done on WP and it was all about the Hawks .... Left em with their mouths open and their heads shakin!!!

Fair win with what looked to me like many non-regular league players in the WP side. Stand to be corrected but that being the case the win is even more meritorious.
