You have snared a promising young player from Perth, Bailey Smith, in a straight swap for Jayden Quill. Win, Win all around. Like for like. That is how it should be.
Good luck to both those young fellows.

Sorry guys I cannot trace where I saw it but I did see it.
Will have to wait for confirmation.
Also saw Ninja cleared to Souths together with John Levine.
Bailey Smith finished 5th in Colts medal. Medal won by Simon Hayward with 130 votes more than double 2nd place.
Ask your bro.

Can't help but feel EF got the better of the Smith-Quill deal. Hope I'm wrong, but if Quill hasn't nailed down a league spot at age 21 going on 22, it's hard to see how much more he's going to improve. Plus the reality of modern football is, sadly, that short players are being squeezed out. At 174cm, Quill may struggle. Likewise Hayward at 169cm.

I take your point Ted but I believe it does come back to talent.
Reagan Clarke is going to be a walk up start early in the season. Super talent should have been drafted. He is 176.
169 is something else. Hayward has super stats at colts level and hopefully will have the odd growth spurt. We will have to wait and see how he goes at senior level. I suspect he will start in ressies.

Cody is meeting with the club today according to JT in the West. Come on Cody put this nonsense behind you mate and sort it out with your club. We want to see you happy and putting your best foot forward. Turn this into a positive.

Peos said he’s not confident he’ll be back. Meeting today will be important then.

Also says Smith for Quill is a done deal

I can guarantee you one thing, there is absolutely no room for individuals with a me first attitude at our club. If Cody thinks he can dictate where he plays there is no room for him in our club. EF can have him, in 2021.

Since when do players at any level dictate where they want to play? The only players that have a right to say I’m a this or that is if they’re 6’6” plus and they believe they are a ruckman and can’t crack a league game. Otherwise you need to have the attitude I’ll just play my role wherever the coach needs me.

The problem I see is in something Bob Shields has said, that EF have been into him for the last TWO years!!
