From Leggetts point of view, I think he would be far more attractive to an AFL club if he buckled down, played out the last year of his contract with Perth to the best of his ability and see what happens at the end of next year. Tim Kelly was denied a clearance to West Coast at the end of 2018 and instead of sulking he played a brilliant 2019 with Geelong which increased his trade value. There is no benefit to Leggett ( or the WAFL for that matter) for him to sit out for the year but Perth have the right to pay hard ball here.

He's be one of two players that I'd be looking at rather than a transfer fee. Not many ruckman average close to 20 hitouts and a goal a game. Maybe we have another crack and say he'll be leading our ruck line.
