Surely coaching must be an issue in that regard - 3 weeks in a row we have been out marked over and over again in the forward line, yet we continue just to bomb it down there.

This is my pet hate about the way we play. It is just aimless pus

And it's intersting to note Perth currently have 717 Disposals Ins 50. And had 299 scoring shots. Which means the other 418 inside 50's have been non shots on goal. By my calculation that equates to 58% of Perths ball disposals Ins 50 are not scoring opportunities. And that figure seems rather high.
Just my 5c worth.

About Earl. I think he’s done really well with what he’s got but the club hasn’t given him much to work with. The recruits that have come in in his time have been below par or well below par with the obvious exception of Clint Jones.

I think it will take a lot to convince him to go on next year.

Froggy wrote: Very disappointing. I thought DBW did well but what is wrong with our fellas down the front? Couldn't take a mark if they they were standing on their own in a paddock. FFS is there any chance of the PFC getting hold of a decent FF. We are going ok out the middle and the back line is ok but we have absolutely nothing up front that can kick a winning score. And it hasn't changed sine we had Spinks or Cooper or Rae. Another year same old story.

Now this is where i disagree.... We are not going well in the middle at all. They might be getting plenty of the ball but the turn overs all over the ground and especially going forward by the midfield is terrible. The crap disposal forward today - Couper, Rae or Spinks would have had just as much trouble.

DD, my problem with Earl is that he doesn't seem to have any back up game plan when things start to go wrong. No moves were made against WP and C when things unravelled in the third quarter. We should have played a loose man in defence in Subi. As I said before, we seem to push up too far so that there is no-one to kick to if we get a turn over in defence, and we have pursued this policy of banging the ball in long to a short forward line 3 weeks in a row. I agree that injuries and form have left with fewer options but surely he can't keep backing in the same game plan knowing that we don't have the players to execute it.

Sooner he is shown the door the better.

I agree Ted.
When you are below par in the skills department this tactic/game plan of having everyone up the ground and trying to score on this sling shot style of play doesn’t work.
There was a period there yesterday where we simply needed to go man on man on certain parts of the ground mainly between the 50 metre arcs.
Eagles players ran free and picked up easy kicks.

Dear Loopy, there are some facts we all have to deal with. PFC have a bad zone and lack depth and consistently do very poorly on field.
We are also a proud club that doesn’t rip off people, especially our sponsors and supporters. In the modern talk we are a good citizen.
Another fact that will never ever change is that even if wp won the next ten flags you guys left people who trusted you totally in the lurch. That’s the taxman (ie all of us) but also dad’s and mum’s with kids to feed and educate.
You know how people think of the Clive palmers or Christopher skases of this world. That’s how we think of wp and that will probably never change. You are not a good or proud club, you are as had been said the low animal known as a debt dodger.

Yes there is, it has been altered. You blokes eat your own and needless to say, self implode at the drop of a hat so I am going back to my site. I genuinely hope you make it, we are not safe by any stretch, all the best you muppets :)
