Lots of bad things happening out there today. Poor skills, hesitation at the contested ball, Auskick style all swarming the ball carrier and letting them spread on us, lame tackles, obsessing with useless dinky kicks and some diabolically dumb mindless high ball forward entry against a team of fkn giants. That’s not the way teams that deserve to play finals play. Going to take a massive turnaround over the next two weeks. Hard to see it based on that lame performance today.

Harsh reality is that we just have too many players who are not up to league level. I would say we have only 9 players of genuine league standard: Byrne, Jones, Yeo, Sinclair, Taylor, Leggett, Colledge, Rogers and Giblett. Payne and Edmonds just ok, the rest not up to it. I would have had Ninja in that list of good players last year but he has gone backwards terribly. Are there any players in our squad who have improved from last season? I would say none. Guys have been given a chance - Smith, Horan, Browne, Henderson, M Jones - and been found wanting. We cannot possibly recruit to cover all our deficiencies in one off season.

C and S took more than 30 more marks than us. Today WC took an amazing 43 more marks. We have no system whatsoever going forward. We push up too far - how many times were we coming off half back and had to stop waiting for players to get back? Surely coaching must be an issue in that regard - 3 weeks in a row we have been out marked over and over again in the forward line, yet we continue just to bomb it down there. If you did a ladder after round 5 we would be second last, only percentage ahead of SD. WC are almost certain to win their last two games, and WP have almost 15% on us, so we need to win our last two to make the five. Given we have kicked a total of 20 goals in the last 3 games, that seems unlikely.

Too many changes from week to week to know how blokes are playing. I know the selection committee must be trying to come up with a winning team but the ins and outs would have everyone confused by now.

And is Corey Byrne the new Richard Kelly/Ross young as in he goes out and we go down?

Inside 50s mean absolutely jack shit if you're constantly being out marked and the ball is pinballing straight out of there

Very disappointing. I thought DBW did well but what is wrong with our fellas down the front? Couldn't take a mark if they they were standing on their own in a paddock. FFS is there any chance of the PFC getting hold of a decent FF. We are going ok out the middle and the back line is ok but we have absolutely nothing up front that can kick a winning score. And it hasn't changed sine we had Spinks or Cooper or Rae. Another year same old story.

We had high and misplaced hopes for garstone, Bennell, ninj. Certainly seems stupid now. Ted and Daz dead right re wastage of i50s, just saying at least opportunity not the problem.Aaaarrrgggghhh.

Just forget about making the 5 so we can say we broke our drought, we will get slaughtered in an elimination final against the debt dodgers at Joondadump. I’d rather try a few players that haven’t had a go and start thinking about next year. Let’s start by looking for a decent CEO and give the encumbant his marching orders. Sooner he is shown the door the better.
