That's the sign of a good side with a bit of belief and to absolutely dominate the last qtr 7.6 to 1.2 is very impressive I have to say and EP had a good side out on the park. The 11 day to 4 day break difference obviously played a part in that but you still have to get the job done.

That is the first convincing win and the next 3 weeks are all there for the taking even though they are away from home. Claremont are hard hit by injuries ATM and we beat them only 2 years ago while they were a much stronger outfit. We go alright there for some reason, and Subi and WP are very beatable. It has to be said, we have had a dream opening draw in the first 5 rounds but to be 4 and 1 has obviously surprised many but now the test is how do we go away from home against some of the better sides?

With Busher closer to a comeback that gives options down back. Either play Busher down back which i believe he played a fair bit of footy at CHB in his colts days or play him forward and swing Tunbridge down there.

Sounds like the club is in a healthy position injury wise, how is Sean Holland coming along in the ressies and another tall option in Tyson Rowling?

I wonder if the Eagles will debut Simon Tunbridge this year to prepare a young player to fill Darren Glass's shoes? Is Tunbridge still on the rookie list?

Agree 30plus, next year with McInness and Tunbridge joining EP along with a couple of other forwards like Josh Hill it's going to make things tight at EP for spots. Also what about that forward that left EP, Prior? Proven goal kicker and maybe he left due to the alignment?

Speaking to a EP supporter at the game he commented that Prior went back to Melbourne due to the alignment.

And that supporter would not know his from his, Prior went to the club and advised them that as he had finished his apprenticeship and that his GF wanted to go home, that is what he would be doing! Once again fiction sounds better or meets the needs of the misinformed!

Meh thats what he told me couldn't care less either way, Josh Smith may have to switch clubs when Mcinnes and Tunbridge move over next year WC would want those two in the key forward positions.

I don't know what ceremony was held at the other grounds but the pre game Anzacservice was first class! The club should be congratulated for getting the best bugle player I have heard in years at the game.

Absolutely the best bugle player for Anzac Day 2013.
I have watched services from France, Gallipoli, Perth, Melbourne and Kokoda.
This guy won hands down. Well done.
And congratulations to the club for great organisation of the day.
I thought the crowd was the best we have seen at Brownes for quite a while. I would have put it at 3000 but best guess by media was 2700. Whatever the number I am certain the club would be pleased.
Very few accolades come the club's way but yesterday the club deserved a big tick IMHO.
We are doing a lot things very right atm on and off the field.

You just have to compare it to last years set up, see the style of footy the team is playing so far this season (look at disposals per goal comparison from last year to this year so far) and importantly the way they train to know there's some serious footy brains in the box now.

Pickering may well have higher coaching aspirations but its hard to see many vacancies becoming available in 2014...at this stage at least.

Hey Dazzler are you talking Internal or External vacancies??

If external i can see 3 coaches positions in danger and out of the 3 i reckon 2 would have to go close to a flag to keep there post and the other would have to play finals at a minimum,Harding at Swans,Monaghan at West Perth and Hasselby at South.

Internally i reckon also McMahon will have to play finals to keep his job safe.

Spot on, interesting times ahead!!

Back to the game, Perth at ALL levels seem to have a game plan that is abt scoring as opposed to ours which is all abt press, something called a horseshoe, defend and kick short.

I think Mr smith would certainly enjoy playing in a team that is hell bent on scoring, oh well we can wait and see!

Good luck for the rest of the season!

DF I think that is being a bit precious. It would be a bit boring if everyone stuck to their own threads. A bit of debate and banter between supporters is one of the best features of this site. As for personal abuse and comments, yes that should be stamped on I agree

Mike this the the guy that continually abuses the Perth Football Club and yet leads everybody to believe he is a Perth supporter.

He contributes very little to this forum except for abuse.

This is the same person that suggested that I shouldn't post on the tipping thread because I don't tip.

The guy is is 2 bob short of 2 bob. Not bright at all.
