Another high quality performance by the Demons but gee it was a strange game. EP seemed to dominate the first half of the quarters and then we'd surge. Last quarter they ran all over EP and I reckon EP playing 5 days ago and the bye for us really helped. Awesome performance by the back six against a much bigger forward line. Once they rejigged the match ups at quarter time and Risol took Smith they really competed well. But we tried hard to gift it back to EP in the last 5 minutes of the third when we went yellow football and fluffed and fudged around to turnover and bang EP get within 2 goals when really we had all the momentum and control of the game. Good sides like Claremont will kick 4 against yellow football.

Couldn't fathom why EP continually played wide along the wing all day when they've got a giant forward line which surely would be hard to control with the ball coming in long and direct?

It was indeed a high quality performance and confirms a resurgence of the club.
Still a long way to go but the boys are playing with confidence for esch other and the jumper.
It has been a long time since we have seen such confidence and discipline displayed and sustained. Still a long way to go but the indicators are there and we should be pleased with what they are doing and all look forward a new test each week.
Next game is Claremont and then Subiaco and West Perth, all away games, before we meet Swans and East Perth at home. These 5 games should really show us where we are at.
Today...
Ali Smith superb. Should be playing AFL but we don't mind atm. Why is he not in the State side?????
Simon Tunbridge superb. Only a matter of time before WCE elevate hime to senior list.
Paul Bevan superb leader. Another 4 goals by the captain.
Kane Ransted supurb. Outstanding in a magnificent backline and his best game for the club.
Matthew Boyle superb. Getting better with every game and showing maturity beyond his age. Rookie of the year at this stage.
Michael Florio superb. Sometimes maligned but provided great run thru midfield today and took some very good marks.
Overall a superb team performance. Keep up the good work boys.

Great win by the boys..backline was outstanding...Risol and Ransted fantastic.

Not one player had a bad game...a real team effort. with guys like Bateman,Busher, Irons, Leeson, Donovan, Johnson, Lyendekkers still to come back in.

Really enjoy watching Brennan Stack in the forward line, a truly talented player.
Also impressed again with Christian Eyres, he really has stepped up.

Well done Dees, that was an acid test today and they got past it. I reckon they can give Claremont a real run for their money next week, if not beat them. Dare to dream Demons fans, these guys are made of much sterner stuff than previous years

Well Done Perth at least it bought a bit of happiness to my day seeing your beat EP. The margin shows you are the real thing in 2013 considering EP defeated EF last week it tells the story. All the best for the Season.
Seeya on 25 May at Joondalup. Looking forward to the game (I think)

I like every Perth supporter loved it and today.

However it is difficult to ascertain how significant the win is.

We had a 11 day break, EP had a 4 day break.

25 percent of season played.

One week at a time - but enjoy tonight.

Claremont at tiger land next week.
Victorians still laugh at West Aussies because of the way we bailed out the vfl and then allowed it to be called it the AFL!

Yes a great game today, and I was worried before the game.

Still getting used to expecting to win.

I agree TFAF, one week at time.

Looking forward to next week against the Tigers, long time since we have beaten them particularly at Claremont.

Acid test but I am confident that the boys will have a go.

I am astounded by the form of Dene White is turning into a good WAFL player.

And Kane Ransted's game today was terrific. Did I say that?

I reckon Ali Smith could win a Sandover one day. I hope we are working on a strategy to keep him playing long term.

Also great to win all grades.

GO DEES.

Ripper news, you blokes are certainly showing a bit, just ned to get passed CL and us (that definitely can be done) and CL are not unbeatable, not by a long stretch !
