Noticed on the WAFL website 19yr old Fraser Barnes from EP where he played 10 Colts games over 3 years.
At 199cm I hope he is not the big hope for our ruck.

Once again it looks like most teams wanting to play finals have improved there lists,not us.

I wouldn't be putting that sort of pressure on the kid DF,.
At 199/87 he is a very good size and not many 199cm players come along often. His Colts stats tell us nothing but at 19 and at that size he will need time to develop.
Recruiting so far not satisfactory in meeting our urgent needs. Where are we at with Simon Tunbridge?
And we still need an experienced ruck and a 60+ goal target up forward.

Yep, happy for the kid to let him come and develop.
First time we have had anyone 199cm, our ruckman are usually pigmys.
But still no news from the Club even with blokes that are supposed to come back to us.
The Club is way behind the 8 ball, snookered and has both hands tied behind it's back.
About as much chance of beating me.

Can't argue about that wishlist 30+. a key back, a key forward, an in and under mid, and an experienced ruckman. Four quality recruits and we are away. But, not an easy shopping list to fill.
Interesting to compare our recruiting thus far with other clubs:
SD - Nil
SF - 2 (Nick Suban best)
CL - 3 (Kane Mitchell best)
WP - (returning players)
P - 6 ( Corey Yeo best - the rest ???)

Yep we have work to do but I doubt that Santa's bag will have what we need in it.
At 199cm and only 19, I am happy to give Fraser Barns the opportunity to show us what he brings to the table.

Smokey our club always goes for quantity over quality when recruiting.
Plus imo we just don't have "that person" off field that gets that potential recruit excited enough to sign on the dotted line and yeah decades of nothing doesn't help.

According to today's West Ben Giobbi and Mith Cox from Casey demons are about to sign.
Can't find a lot of stats both are young and were first year players this year.
