After signs of improvement again last week we take on Claremont this Saturday for our first home game of 2017.

Always look forward to the first home game and it will be the first time the player play a game on the new turf after training on it last night.

It is imperative that we play four quarters this week. Do that and who knows.

As usual if you want to know what's going on around the club tune in on Wednesday at 5:30pm on 91.3 Sport FM for Dee Radio.

Also the Past Players training bar is open again this Thursday from what I've been told so head down from about 5:30 and you can have a look at the new grounds, watch training and find out team selection for Saturday.

Pretty sure this is our injury list at the moment.

B.Piggot (Shoulder), Hill (Hamstring), Bell (Knee), Sinclair (Achilles), Thompson (Knee), Perkins (Shin), Nicholas (Knee), Colledge (Hamstring), Hamlett (Knee), Chivers (Calf), Dennis (Knee), G.Piggot (Concussion), Vaughn (Knee), Ugle (Knee), Leggett (Knee), Irons (Groin).

I was told that Leggett had torn his hamstring of the bone so don't know why he was listed with a knee.

Thanks Mister. I think everyone would like to know how bad Brant's hammy is if that info is available anywhere?

Well he had ice on it and did not play the last quarter so I would say minimum two weeks. I'd be looking at him to come back in after the bye perhaps.

Looking at the possible outs in Colledge and maybe Morisey depending on how his ribs are there could be two possible changes to this weeks like up.

We need a bit more firepower up front and whilst Walley's defensive pressure is very good I reckon we need an opportunist type goal scorer in the side capable of doing damage from limited possessions.

If those three all go out I wouldn't mind seeing Kurtis Chester, Tim Sutherland and Brennan Stack come in.

Having Sutho means we have an extra tall in the forward line, Eyresy doesn't have to ruck alone and it also means that Garstone and White can spend longer time in the forward 50.

Chesters form in the reserves deserves a call up so he would replace Colledge in the middle with stints up forward.

With Stack I would play him in a high half forward role. Let him get early touches and get the flow of the game.

If we keep playing the way we have been then I reckon the changes above might help us in kicking an extra 3 possibly 4 goals a game.

Mr AFL, I hope Morisey is ok to play. A magnificent debut and hopefully he will keep that momentum going.
I agree on Sutherland and Stacky. We need to make sure Sutherland is ready if Eyresy goes down or loses form. Get him in there now and provide that extra tall on the ball or around the ground.
Stacky to play BUT on the wing where he can get into the game and run the ball forward. He is a good kick and will improve our delivery to the forwards. We don't need him stuck in the forward line with nowhere to go.
On form Chester deserves his chance whether this week or soon.

I can see him having value on the wing Smokey and agree about him being stuck in he forward line. That's why I suggested high half forward. Up the ground enough to be in the game but then able to float around just outside 50 for opportunistic goals.

Have pencilled Perth in for a win here. Realise I'm swimming against the flow. Think it was this match at the corresponding time last season that Perth won against Claremont? The Demons first Home game on the you beaut refurbished ground should give them the desire to win their first game for 2017. Should have a good attendance for this game, as people go and check out the new looking surrounds of Lathlain Park. A crowd figure of anything under 2,000 for this match would be disappointing I'd think?
