Yep, agree with this. Gordon Narrier keeps his spot but bigger bodies needed to counter Subi.

Well who should go out then? I think all the young players should keep their spots.

Devon McFarlane might possibly be an out. Cal Walley, Laine Willkins perhaps. I guess we will have to wait 24 hours until the teams are named.

Beasley Hutton wrote: Not sure if it was just the number 25 but gee Gordon Narrier reminded me of John McGuire. A left footer, beautiful foot skills, nice sidestep, he was very impressive against us I thought especially early.

Good foot skills, couldn't have been playing for us BH. haha only joking. Yes it was nice to see someone that can carry the ball a little and hit a target. A couple of his kicks hit leading forwards which was great to see. Hasn't happened a lot over the last couple of years. Hence why I think he keeps his spot in our team as he is one of the better ball users.

Cody Leggett set to miss 4 months and Kristian Cary should be back about round 4. Jared Bell met with his surgeon yesterday and is apparently tracking ahead of schedule. Jarrad Irons has a bit of OP and should be back in the second half of the season. Kasey Nicholas should return from his knee injury roughly round 9.

Adam Cockie, Brad Stevenson, Ben Sokol and Braden Fimmano all played reserves for the Lions and could come in. According to BC Delahunty hurt his knee last week and pretty sure that I heard that Horsley has slight hamstring strain.

Probably Roe, Johnson, Scotney and Gooch would be dropped wouldn't they.

I don't see all of them being dropped. Narrier should play again and I thought that Roe and Johnson should be given another go.
The question is who will replacements be? Perhaps Curtis Chester and Marshall Jones.
An interesting night at selection table.

Once they are in it is hard to drop them because it would obviously be deflating but we shouldn't be losing games at selection. Last week was very very winnable and we simply took in too many kids - 3 would have been a good nod to youth and development without undermining our chances. Everyone looking at the teams last week with a brain knew what would happen. So yes it will be interesting to see how they manage it from here.

STT, I should have mentioned the possible call-up of Tim Sutherland to support Eyres in the ruck. He is a big lad with a bit of grunt who competes well and who showed enough in the ressies last week to suggest he may be given an opportunity sooner rather than later.

Looks like the five kids get another gig this week. Of the extended interchange Giblett must play as must Narrier. And I would be playing Stacky.
There must be injury clouds afoot....Trop, Sinclair, McKenna, MacFarlane?? They would all play if fit. None of the players named tonight appear on the ressies' list which to me suggests there might be one or two players wont play because of injury.
Interesting that Eyres is left to carry the ruck alone. That can't go on and sooner or later Sutherland must get his opportunity. I will watch him closely again in the ressies.
I note that Julian Jacobs is listed to play ressies along with Nelson Ansey. Perhaps they need a couple of runs due to limited pre season. Jacobs should walk back into the side once his fitness is up to scratch.
