Is this the Demon's best 22 for 2017? Thoughts?

You've put the skipper on the bench??

That team is a big work in progress there. Backline is pretty small. Going off that team it is evident that the club still needs to recruit a key backman and second ruckman.

It's still early days yet but I'll have a crack at a team.

IMO I see the need for a key defender that can play on the Saunders, Shaws and Sheppheards of the competition and a second ruckman that has the ability to go forward as well as the most important needs for the team. Another key forward would be great but if we get the other two positions sorted then we would have hopefully a fit Spencer White, Sam Garstone, Angus Graham and then the second ruckman to play down there.

Also Todd Stevenson I think has the ability to fill a variety of roles for us and wouldn't mind seeing how he goes as a backman.

I Don't overly rate Stevenson at this stage. I think you have missed Jared Bell, hopefully that was a simple oversight. I thought prior to injury he was one of our best last year.

Zac Fisher will be gone by the end of the second round of the AFL draft.

With respect PD1899, IMO we will not improve in 2017 with your proposed first 22.

It is far too early to predict the availability of current and prospective players.
We have made a start with the signing of Clem Smith and Brandt College but we must have Tendai as top priority and we must target a quality support ruckman and at least one tall KPP. Perhaps another big body mid should also be on the shopping list.Retaining Troppo is also a priority.

PN has alluded to the fact that Zac Fisher will go in the AFL draft so scratch him and we could also lose one or two other colts to the AFL.

Early days yet and a lot of ifs and buts to consider.

Sorry but this is an absolute waste of time.

There are still a number of players available that are yet to be recruited by clubs and we dont know who's going from the list of 2016,retirements,going to other wafl clubs,drafted into the AFL etc.........................

Your probably right about Zac. He will definitely go early in the draft. Hopefully we couple of the colts boys. Smith is a good in, hopefully he can play like he wants another go at AFL level. College is a big win for us as is versatile. Tendai and a tall defender are the keys to a big jump up the ladder in 2017.
