Good to see Perth playing hardball with Zucconi. I fair dinkum believe he just wanted to tell people "Yeah I played 100 games of WAFL". To train all summer with the eye on playing 4 games to bring up your 100th and then walking has me mind boggled. Probably kept us off the scent of recruiting a similar sized beckman - and certainly kept an up and comer out of club colours.
Victorians still laugh at West Aussies because of the way we bailed out the vfl and then allowed it to be called it the AFL!

It will probably prove futile but I support the clubs stance on it. I used to regard Zucca very highly but his attitude towards the club since first deciding to take a break from the game has been unusual behaviour. Each time he has left it's been bad timing for the club and to come back a third time and desert the club after notching up his 100th and lapping up being chaired off by his team mates and applauded and cheered off by us supporters is a bad look and he's lost my respect.
Get on your bike.

Apparently he walked out on Perth because of work commitments. And has played one game for South Mandurah since leaving Lathlain Park.

WAG don't believe everything you read.
Work commitments didn't interfere with a pre season.
Very strange, obviously can't make up his mind.
I'm with DD he's lost my respect.

No worries DF. Understand what you're saying there.
Does make one wonder leaving the Perth footy club some weeks ago because of work reasons, then wanting to play in the Mandurah league?
Not unless he resides in Mandurah whereas ha wouldn't need to travel as far?

Good stuff Perth, Northy, it doesn't matter if he gets the nod from the tribunal or not, what is important is that he is made fully aware that you can't pull the piss out of the club for the 3rd time and just walk away and put through a bit of grief. I love that your leadership group refused to give him the opportunity to speak to the players, that there gives you an idea that they knew what his intentions were.

Not the first time hes been and gone.
Personally i couldnt care less,i didnt rate him coming back like others.

What cracks me up is our club digs its heels in with a 30 year old whos best is way behind him, wont clear him to a lesser league yet it will stamp the papers of our better players to other wafl clubs in a heart beat,go figure.

Yeah I don't have a problem with the clubs stance, just repeating what was said in the paper regarding his contract status
