Yep, good win. Apart from the first half of the second quarter I thought we played the better footy and had a lot more of it. Who was that impersonating Rowan Brookes out there today? He absolutely played out of his skin in the best performance I've seen from him.

I think that is the type of football Brookes can produce Dazzler. Has not had a problem this year doing it at reserves level but needs that consistency at league level. If he can find it could be handy.

Well played Perth - you will win at least one more game in 2016 v us later in the year and thus avoiding the spoon..maybe they will do a handover at the game? lol

I agree with Dazz. Brookes played his best league to date. Just shows what he could do if he could find some consistency.
Also very impressed with Thompson. He is very hard at the ball and can have a presence up forward or down back.
Angus.. 58 hitouts.. that is sensational. He does need to cool it at times and resist the odd brain fade but he is giving us an advantage at stoppages.
Jonsey, Troppo, White and Bluey gave us so much drive out of the centre and around the ground.
I agree that we murdered the ball at times but methinks that perhaps we might have the makings here. Let's give it time.
Best game that Taryn Etto has delivered. I hope that he is finally getting the feel of WAFL footy and that we can see even better things from him.

I had a good chat with Peter Kennedy today and he urges all Perth fans to get along to this!
On the 13th June ASSHWA is proud to have former ABC Political Correspondent Peter Kennedy talk about his beloved Perth Demon's Grand Finals in 1907 and 1955 against East Fremantle Football Club. The talk will begin at 7:30pm upstairs at the Game Sports Bar. MC for the night will be Les Everett, the author of Gravel Rash and the recent history of Fremantle Dockers. Entry is free and everyone is welcome For further information click on the link below.

I nearly didn't make it to this game stuck on the bloody phone with technical support, that's one hour 35 minutes I'm never going to get back.

Then rain pouring down on the way to the ground I thought why am I doing this? JB's hamburger stand wanted $9 for a burger and $6 for a hot dog and I'm thinking a toasted sandwich at home would have been a better option. Thankfully the Swans canteen aren't so bloody greedy. Then while I'm talking to some sad and sorry old fellow Perth supporters my brollie goes missing that I'd stuck in the ground in front of me and I'm judging the fine Bassendean faithful with disdain only to discover a short time later it's another sad and sorry Perth supporter playing tricks on me.

At half time I'm thinking maybe go home and watch the replay afterwards but glad I stuck around because the boys really put their heads down in the second half and attacked the footy and didn’t really give Swans a chance with their pressure.

Should have had the game wrapped up by 3 qtr time and with Swans kicking an early goal in the last qtr we thought here we go if this mob get the next one we are in trouble. But really happy that didn't happen. The boys won it in style in the end instead of just being content with hanging on. Made it all worthwhile on these dark wet wintery days when only the best turn up. ;)

A good reward for our persistence.

You are spot on DG. Though we are frustrated at the lack of system and finishing in the forward 50 not many times this year have we had to question the endeavour. Our strength is in the ruck (I say that with caution) and midfield and our backline is solid but we often squander chances up forward. Good to see the boys bury an opposition in the last qtr.

If we can get Latch, Johnston and Spencer White back at the same time with Sam Garstone emerging we actually have a fairly reasonable spine.

Some good kids are emerging like Matt Thompson, Matt Taylor, second year players Bell and Leggett and the future is not looking so bleak. Actually looks like we might have one. I would be extending Spalding's contract by two years at the end of this season. I think it's crucial we get him to commit long term and continue the build.

Spalding is still contracted until the end of 2017. I'd be waiting until then to see if we are going to extend it.
