He was a10 point player at West Perth last year .They wasted those points on a reserves player. The Dees certainly don't want to go down that same path if they are genuine in their attempt to drag themselves up the ladder next season.

Can someone explain why we even have a point system? It seems a bit unfair on players who struggle at one club and want a chance at another. A player might, for example, be the second best ruckman in the competition but is stuck playing reserves at a club with the best ruckman in the competition. Why can't this player have a go at another club? Wouldn't some sort of draft be fairer? Clubs submit a list of players by a certain date, players who miss out can opt to enter the draft and other clubs can then pick up players to suit their needs. Clubs get a better chance to nab the kind of players they need and players get a better chance of a fair crack at playing league footy. The point system just doesn't seem all that fair.

Sorry Callum, and all due respect to you.
If have 10 points against you, then I am not sure why we are looking at you.

Having said that, he is not yet on our list, so maybe he is training with us.
He is also no longer on West Parth's list.
It would depend on whether his points are watered down for not being on a list.

In any case I would not be convinced that even 5 points would be well spent.

Anyway this is all speculation.

We already have one 10 point list clogger on our books.

Can anyone confirm if Lawrence is training?

How many league games has this Callum Papertalk played? Surely you need to have clocked up at least 50 WAFL games or been on an AFL list to be worth 10 points? Probably a good mate of Tropiano being ex EF.

Country Member, the points system was designed to stop the likes of Subi filling their list with shed loads of interstate recruits and pinching ex AFL players from their original club etc....

I thought it was working well until the last couple of years Subi seems to be able to get them from anywhere. Maybe time for a review. The competition has become very stale and predictable. It doesn't excite me anymore.

Papertalk was on WCE list.
From what I can see he has played 1 League game and 38 reserves games averaging 10 disposals per game and kicked 48 goals in those games.
We should not be using 10 points on players of this ilk.
As I said this is all heresay as he is not on our list nor still on WP's.

Papertalk ten points? That will be nearly as wasteful as the ten points we've used on jaxon Starcevich over the last couple of seasons.

WAFL Online have him as a West Perth player at 10 points. Surely he cant be a 10 point player after one league game.
Anyway this seems to be all heresay. In any event for mine...No Thanks!!

He was a rookie listed Eagle originally from EF hence the 10 points, Joel Houghton is pointed the same as a former Docker rookie from Perth.

True BH but Joel had played more than 30 league games before joining Swans.

I agree 10 points is way over for a player like Papertalk,i havent tracked his playing form at all at WP but if he has spent the whole season playing ressies then why would we be looking at him.
The other thing to bear in mind is how long has he been in the WAFL system for and his age???
Long enough and old enough i would have thought to show his worth.

10 points on a wafl player and he'd want to be playing league and making an impact, not doing what a 1 point player can do for you!!
