Well they say a week is a long time in football and geez it's been a long week if you support this club.

This week we take on the Bulldogs who were really impressive against the Falcons. Hopefully the team has had a rocket put under them and we can/should expect a better showing.

Yes Latho is not our best ground, our low scoring in the first half of last week will have to improve, looking forward to ths one on Ch 7 and SF first TVW 7 game since 1987, also great to hear Belly call it.

Just seen the team on WAFL.com. Looks like Kalajciz is in, along with Bateman and Billings. Confirmed out is Hug. Stack may play reserves.

B J Bell B Latch J Morton
HB D O'Sullivan D Johnston M Sinclair
C J Payne A Tropiano M Welburn
HF T Gianatti D Arangio B Wolfenden
FF B Power M Morton C Leggett
F C Eyres L Mckenna D White

In C Bateman, J Kalajzic, K Ransted, C Billings, C Walley,
Out K Hug,

Worried that Stack has been left out, but trust there's something going on with him to justify this. Granted his game wasn't great last week, but he wasn't alone. Still no Collard and no Lawrence. We could use those guys upfront to give us some more options. Obviously the question again is where the goals are going to come from other than Morton. The backline looks solid enough. But your backline is only as good as a midfield that can control the game. Here, we look OK, but we need to step up and make sure that that midfield is getting value for effort from our forwards. Glad that we are sticking by Arangio and Power up forward. In the absence of other options development has to be the focus.
Can we turn around from a 96 point loss to a victory against a side on the up and up? Miracles have happened before. I think, though, I'm looking for a competitive performance. I want to see us right in the game up until the end. I want to see us pressure the opposition when they have the ball, I want to see us run when we have the ball. And I want the team to have the courage to be creative and back themselves.

On what basis are you calling for Lawrence to be selected or available? What's he done since arriving from Peel? Agree with you on Stack. We can ill afford to see another talent go to another WAFL club and become a star just like Rogers, Elari and McDougall have at other clubs.

I think Stacky needs to be used more in the midfield or maybe even across half back. We need him in the game with his hands on the ball.
Get on your bike.

Agree that Stack needs to be involved in the game more. If he gets his hands on the ball early and kicks a goal or two then his confidence is up and usually stays up for the rest of the game. Stick him in the guts and let him get the ball early. Hos skills by foot might see better entries inside the forward 50.

That was one of the areas that really let us down last week, the way we used the ball heading into the forward line.

As for Lawrence I believe he is still suspended for another two games.

I doubt whether Stack would have the motor to play a big role in the midfield.
He is a lazy footballer imo.
I also reckon he'd be a loose checking defender if played in the backline.

Its clear that he cant play Full Forward with any great authority and i agree he has to move further up the ground but where to is the issue for me!

As for tommorrows game, kicking goals will still be an issue for us..funny that hey.
In saying that South imo are a middle of the road team, they are just ok imo.

Lets see what our mobs made of coming off a poor first up and unacceptable effort last week.

He's a confidence player 30plus. That's why I reckon stick him on the ball for 10-15 mins at the start of the game, let him get his hands on the ball then stick him forward.
