Where was Stack today? Didn't see his name in the WAFL reserve stats I know of one Amateur club that's in his ear at the moment.

Yeah, I think we didn't really make the most of the first half dominance. Really should of been miles up, always felt the warm day would take a toll and we would slow down , playing at Lathlain is always a boogey for us, and as we slowed there was a chance you could make hay, which you did, thought Arangio was a bit of a stand out for you guys, I have to say that both SF and Perth looked very slow compared to EF and EP last week.

It wouldnt surprise me if he pulls the pin and eventually bobs up at another WAFL club.

If the PFC excels in one area its letting players go to other wafl clubs.

Could you imagine the resulut today if we had these players who are now playing at other wafl clubs

Ugle
Jones
Garlett
Elari
Houghton
Rogers
Busher

Last season at the Premiers Subi and retired this season after getting a flag,McDougall and Kaylor-Thomson.

Not to mention Bevan,Risol,Ross Young,Tedesco,Ali Smith all have left recently and still have plenty to offer at this level.

The decison making of this lot upstairs when it comes to recruiting and getting rid of players is mind boggling stuff!

You cant hide the facts that we were just 1 goal at half time.
A much better team than Souths would have buried us after half time.

It just frustrates me knowing that if we had 1 or 2 tall KPP's playing forward today we would have won the game.
This is going to cost us on a weekly basis.

For mine yep a far better effort than last week and so it should have been but still that today just didnt enthuse me at all.

Did anyone else hear the Demons supporters that called 6pr today?
Few pissed off Dees supporters out there!

Yep you are spot on. It can't all be left to the kids.

Much better performance today. The league team started to do what we asked of them at the beginning of the season: be competitive. But we need to do that from the start of games if we are any hope of winning games. Great to see the colts get a win. Disappointing result in the reserves again.

A win is a win is a win. But not every loss is the same, and that's why I'm prepared to come on here and say well done, especially after last week. Our young guys stood up today. We lost Morton, arguably one of our best from last week, early, and that made a difference. They said 2 weeks in the paper. We can ill afford to have his like out of our team. Bateman should be better for the run. Glad to see Arangio stepped up today, too.

Yes, I agree that we could have used one or two quality recruits out there today. But hey imagine the difference these guys would have made today:

College: 30 disposals, 4 tackles, 1.1
McInnes: 15 disposals, 2 tackles
Tunbridge: 13 disposals, 3 tackles 2.1

When you develop your own and they are forcibly shifted to another club...

I asked Stacky in between breaks what's up with him. Said he pulled up sore from training so no worries there. When we get him and Collard back in that side we have a couple more avenues to goal. Also Eyres didn't play today but Ben Power is gaining in stature.

Pigs arse to the poster who said Souths took the foot off the gas. Our boys smashed them at the clearances and showed some real fight and ticker. Had Mitch Morton had his kicking boots on today we would have won the game.

Finally we have a coach with a real feel for the game and doesn't have his head up his own arse. Should have appointed him 5 years ago. As Mark Readings said late in the game, put Ben Saunders or James Sellar in our forward line and we would be a much tougher proposition and Belly followed that by saying Morton then doesn't have to play tall and gets a weaker opponent.

We've got some real good kids coming through who are showing they are up to it. I am impressed with the likes of Leggett, Arangio, Tanner, Bell, McKenna, Gianatti, Payne etc...

Plenty of positives out of todays game and pleased to say the days of seeing 18 Perth players in the defensive half and no one to kick to going forward are over.

Up yours McDud. :P

I also want to add young Latch is a great pick up from Swans. We might have got one back on them and can't leave Wolfy out. He's got plenty of good footy left in him. Another work horse to share the load with Whitey and Trops.

And a great debut by Callum Walley who's got some real tow.

The second half has given me a glimmer of hope we can get wins on the board in 2015 and build a competitive team. Really impressive with the endeavour shown and some of the desperate defensive acts on show, great team lifters!!

Doubt Chance will suit up next week, looked to ping his groin when kicking out in the second qtr and stopped dead in his tracks, was surprised to see him reappear at all after half time.

Some of our kicking in and defensive clearing was terrible, short pass and short pass , seven kicks and still in the back fifty and then the inevitable clanger and resulting turnover. Chance is the last player we need handling the kick in duties we need his skills to navigate down the ground. Any suggestions on who is best placed to take responsibility for kicking in?

Arangio didn't have a sniff in the first half and his decision making was poor but did do some nice things in the second half and has a nice kick on him. As everyone has stated we need a focal point in attack, Stack and Collard would have helped today but really need a bigger band aid than them.

Power battled well in the ruck with some assistance from Latch, however on the while our clearance work lacked any cohesion.

Of major concern again is a third of our players failed to get their hands on the ball 10 times for the game. We need a more even contribution from all players if we are going to improve as a team. Still looks like Earl has something to work with.

Surprisingly we've managed to perform quite well against the Cardies on their home patch on occasions so hoping we can continue our second half form for a full four quarters and celebrate Easter with 4 points .

Noticed Cruize Garlett had a lazy 43 touches for Peel Ressies yesterday, would no doubt add some polish to our centre clearances.

Very good second half comeback from the team yesterday. It proves that they can play some good football when they want to. Hopefully they take the second half performance into next week against the Falcons and can put four quarters together.

I thought Latch did a good job in the ruck and as a mobile tall and helped get that run on they got going in the second half. I felt they went a lot more direct in the second half - whether that was by design or not I don't know - but the outside run and the long kicks forward, a few 'chaos' balls forward on occasions seemed to work and when you've got a small forward line why not play that way and give them a one out chance?

You could see the confidence they got from that surge in the third quarter when Arangio and Leggett kicked great goals. There are good kids coming through. We really need another gun midfielder who can kick goals and a tall experienced forward to complement what we've got.

South though seemed to play a taxing game of 'sling shot' footy getting their numbers behind the ball then launching forward and we weren't capable of going with them for two and a half quarters with their ability to spread and get forward of the ball. They definitely slowed in the heat in the second half but the good thing is our guys were still prepared to guts it out and stay in the contest to get back in the game.

You are right DD. What could have been if we had of had a real coach five years ago. First one we've had since Magro in my opinion after the self anointed football scientist (Eastaugh), loonie (Jarman) and fraud (McMahon).
