I have been waiting for something proactive to be done with Stack. Too many times he has 1 or 2 games where he is not in top form and he is dropped - left to dwell. He is too skillful to be left out too many times. Against Subi he had a couple of fumbles but worked hard to get back into it - obviously responding to the coaches. Personally I still like him as a half forward, but as another option as a relief midfielder. Stack, Morton, Collard all working together in a structured forward line will be difficult to defend. Just need one big or two bigger targets to join in the party. Again the key is a structured (simplified) forward set up.

Just wondering if anyone got a ream list for both sides on the weekend and if they could post it on here that would be great

I think we will be able to kick a good score this year. Just depends if everyone is fit and how they setup.

I'd love to see a team list, too, if anyone has access to one. It seems like we improved a little bit this weekend. Hopefully, we can hit the ground running next week, with something close to a full-strength team. Glad to see Mitch Morton played, and that Stack had a good game. I agree that it's always worth having a look at a quality player in a new position if his form is down. Stack could play half-back, wing, center, or forward.

I'd hate to have to eat my words, but if Houghton is Swans back-up ruck then all of a sudden I don't feel too bad about our ruck stocks. I think if Dekkers was fit we'd be a lot better off, but I'm hopeful that either Power or Wallis or Ironmonger can step up to take some pressure off Eyres. I really think Eyres could, in the right situation, do some damage forward. Anyway it would be a handy option to have.

At the end of the day, a forward structure is only as good as 1. the amount of times our midfield can get the hands on the ball; and 2. the delivery. If those things happen and our forwards can play actively and get themselves in the right positions then we can score goals.

PD I fully agree with Eyres as an option up forward. He took several nice marks against Subi. As for Dekkers is he playing this year? I heard he has departed.

My understanding Dekkers is traveling.

As I said I think we have the players capable in the forward line to kick a big enough score.

For me the the team needs to work harder on better delivery inside the forward line and also work harder when we don't have the ball.
