I have a similar view - I reckon that within 5 years Perth as we know it will be gone or not far from it. Let's recall a number of years ago when it was mooted that we align with Swans - I reckon that will be on the cards again - there is no chance of Perth aligning with the Eagles, but with the Eagles moving to Lathlain, that will be the "first chapter" in the demise of the once mighty Demons - hope I'm wrong, but 1 way or the other, there is massive change on the horizon for the D's

I don't think Ugle wants to go to Peel because he can't hack the training. Probably most likely to do with success or personal matters such as being right under the nose of an AFL club to increase his chances of being re drafted.

I think we will find that Ugle will be playing at Peel next year. He wants out not because anything the club has done but because Peel have made an offer he can't refuse (he has a young family) and that we can't match. This is sonething the Commission has to look into, though given they fund these kind of things I'm not sure anything would be done about it. Anyway we are playing hard ball but he will go. I suspect we will get players in return. There's talk of 3 coming across, including a former ALF listed player (I'm sure you can work out who). Rumour is that we will get a key forward. Busher has gone too. He says the club didn't treat him the way he wanted. This is rubbish I suspect. Anyway a very demons Christmas. Hope the new year will bring some more positive.

It is a disgrace that an aligned Club can recruit like this.
Although I am not surprised that they would let Peel do what ever, tyhey are still trying to justify their bloody mindedness.
As long as the ex AFL player is not Ash Smith.
I cannot believe that Busher would think like that.
After all, didn't we pay for his surgerys?
It really makes you wonder at times.
It's not the size of the dog in the fight. It's the size of the fight in the dog.

I wonder if that would be Hawkesly? I only say this because I had a chat to him at a Subi v Peel game during the year and we discussed the host club alignment. He didnt give too much away but wasn't happy with it. Real nice fella.

I CAN believe that Busher has gone - good riddance - he has only ever worried about himself - is a selfish prick and after the way Perth have looked after him - but he wouldn't be able to see that. We are better off without him and if anyone thought that he would lead us to some victories are in the dreamtime!! We need to remember who it was that "mentored" him - the irrepressible McMahon, so make your own mind up. Overall if we think we are going to be more than competitive we need to think again, however all that most supporters want is for the team that runs out week after week have a fair dinkum crack and we if still get done so be it - rant over.

Originally, Peel & East Perth weren't allowed to recruit from outside their zones. Then the rules were relaxed for Peel to let them recruit one or two, I am not sure.

Now it appears anything is allowed for them and East Perth are still barred.

Didn't Subiaco make an offer to Sam Menagola that he couldn't refuse, or East Fremantle couldn't match?

This key forward that is rumoured to be coming, will he be coming from Peel or another club. If it is from Peel and if you look at the recruiting over the last two season in terms of the players we have recruited from other clubs that have played state underage football then I'd say it could possibly be Dylan Winton.

If Ugle wants to go we can try and keep him but if he has his heart set on leaving then there's no point keeping a player that is disinterested for 12 months. We have had enough of them over the years. Try and get the best possibly outcome for our club for a change.

Always thought Liam McKenna looked like a decent sort of player. Hasn't had a lot of opportunities over the last two seasons though.
