Also was reading the match preview the other day and for those that don't know there is another event on at the showgrounds the same day so if you were thinking off driving might want to get there a little bit earlier.

With 15,000 people expected to attend the Pregnancy, Babies & Children’s Expo at Claremont Showgrounds this Saturday there will be limited vehicle access into the ground.

Don’t fear though as parking will be available on Claremont Oval via Davies Road for $5 per car.

Players, Support Staff and President's Lunch Guests will have reserved parking within the showgrounds, entry via Gate 10.

Gates 1, 8, 10 & 11 will be open to walk through.

Trains will be stopping directly at Claremont Showgrounds for those that wish to catch public transport.

This is one game where it will be won in the midfield and thats where Claremont will win the game.
Around the ground like us they look pretty average, they certainly dont have the dominating talls in the Kp's and the small goal kicking forwards like they used to.

How did Mitch Browne go on debut? Will Bateman go on next year?Tropiano seems to have been a great pick up,given that he was languishing in the ressies at EF.The Dees goal to goal line on paper looked ordinary yesterday,in particular Deaves,Welburn and Billings.I really thought Claremont might have dished out a bigger winning margin yesterday.

Browney has been playing colts most of the year, has played the last two games in the reserves and was brought in to play his first league game against the Tigers.

Mudlark I thought Mitch went ok. Had 13 possessions, 3 mark, 3 tackles and 2 I50. Hopefully he keeps his spot and a couple of other young players come in next week against the Royals.

Overall yesterday whilst it was disappointing to have 9 goals kicked against us in the third term we did have our chances to get back into the match in the last quarter and reduce the margin. It was only 23-points at 3 qrt time and we kicked 1.5 in the last.

The one positive I walked away with was the performances of some of our younger players in Aidan Tropiano 27 possessions, 7 I50, Joel Kalajzic 24 touches, 7 marks, Cameron Manuel 23 disposals, 5 marks, Michael Sinclair 23 touches, 6 marks and Callum Collard who kicked 4 goals.

These players will hopefully be around for the next 6-7 years and help push the club up the ladder,

Probably another 5' 9" player.

In fairness i dont know how the kid went,i just hope we dont line up too mnay new kids next week V East Perth.
The last thing you want to do is destroy there confidence so early in there careers.

Tony Micale and Mitsy made interseting comments re-our style of play and not knowing how to close a game down when a side gets a run on.

More like last five minutes of each quarter fade out. Fair dinkum we were all over Claremont in that second quarter before we let them kick two piss easy goals in red time and then in the third quarter we'd done all the work to get back into the match and then let them kick 5 goals in no time at all in time on. Thanks Damo, another great legacy to leave this club which js deadset going like a busted wheel in all grades at the moment.

Mitch Browne I thought made a fair debut. Made some good decisions with the ball but learnt pretty quick the tempo of the game is a lot different to colts. Rowan Brookes, love his endeavour but if he's not the worst decision maker in the WAFL I'd love to see who is.

Changa was good again as was Manuel, Tropiano and Collard but I thought Matt Hunt played a great game although he didn't seem to crack a mention in the paper. They definitely had a dip but really poor skills by foot in that second and third quarter just killed us. How many times did the ball get kicked over a leading players head?

Williams tried everything. Players were going all over the place all day. Interesting that he didn't seem to play a tag on anyone. It was the dominance of Seaby getting no-neck Murphy, Neates and Ozel plenty of the ball that beat us in the end.

Someone should give that fk Foster a whistle. He never stopped commentating and giving the umpire advice for the whole game. It was only when Clem Smith went onto him he finally shut up.

And congrats to East Freo Oval. You're no longer the biggest dump of a ground in the WAFL. That title now goes to the Showgrounds. Shit facilities, shit scoreboard, shit oval and shit crowd of gopher drivers, zimmer frame pushers and a couple of hip youngsters under 75.
