Can't close out a game. Should be Atleast 5-3 this season. Why when we have momentum and are playing fast free flowing footy like in the 2nd term we just take the foot off the pedal. The players appear to nor have a big ticker sometimes. Where's the pride in the jumper you soft bastards. Apologies to the players that actually put in but bloody hell how many winning positions have we been in this season and then have lost.

The players are just as responsible as the coach or have share some of the blame. But for me McMahon can not coach the club in 2015. Got nothing against him personally but this club needs a coach that can get the most out of our players and give them a rev up when it's needed and fire the boys up.

Even when we have a lead you know damn well the oppostion at some stage will hit the front and go on and win.
I look at the senior coach and his assistants and there it is...not much inspiration there,no imigination coming from the box,its sub standard to be honest.

Can someone explain to me how a former Perth club General Manager who got the sack years ago is now an assistant coach, only at bloody Perth!!!!!

Numbers are dropping off big time and its not because of the alignment, fans are sick and tired of the same old crap, each week, each year.

Our season is done and dusted already!
We are on the raod to nowhere!

I'm with you 30plus. The crowds at the game are a disgrace. I'll still go though as I love having a beer with my mates.

Who's this coach you speak of. Is it Rod Bassell?

Also something that really summed it up was a long time supporter who sits up in the grandstand walked out at half time and said he was going home. I don't blame him. There is only so much that the fans, the lifeblood of this club can take. This season with limited numbers at games appears to be the straw that has broken the camels back. Supporters are basically saying stick it up ya a**

Mr AFL,Laurie Liddelow, good Perth bloke but thats where it ends!!

Lets face it East Freo are far from being a top 4 team and we cant beat them at home.
Its really hard to see where our next win will come from perhaps down at Peel but even thats no gimme from this bunch, coach down to the players.

More and more supporter will drop off and you wont get them back, once there gone they will stay away.

Its much easier these days to give the footy a miss and do something else.
Watching us is like watching a re-run of a movie,it has the same ending every time you watch it!!

Looking at the players that played today it is difficult to fault too many,

Maybe Bev and Boyle and Hug had quite games but that is about it.

Hugys time may be up for a while I think.

I think the main problem is that every week two or three players have a quite game. Every week.

Florio and Moody last week, Bev Boyle and Hug this week etc etc.

Time we had all players on on the same day.

Rowan Brookes had a good first up game. Mitch Morton very good. Billings better than in the past. Florio showed some ticker.

If after 14 games (6 more) we are 7 and 7 we are in it still. I guess that means 4 from the next 7. If we are only 5 and 9 then maybe the knifes can come out.

Until then keep on supporting and ignore the detractors.
Victorians still laugh at West Aussies because of the way we bailed out the vfl and then allowed it to be called it the AFL!

TFAF it's hard to keep the faith when we fail to play four quarters. The talent is there, we have seen them play some fantastic footy and then play some awful footy. The second quarter was a perfect example of this. It's all well and good having an honourable loss etc but sooner or later the penny has to drop and the wins need to start coming.

Agree with the above comments TFAF, if we don't have a better option than Hug is the ressies or colts we are in strife. He certainly puts in effort but his kicking and decision making just isn't up to the required standard.
Brookes did some nice things in his debut however needs to work on moving the ball on quicker into forward 50. kicked a nice goal from the pocket.
Leeson did well but missed two regulation shots from 35-40m , should have nailed at least one of them.
Florio stuck a few tackles today so hopefully its a sign of things to come and Busher looks to be finding his feet again.
White must be the most improved player in the comp and it wasn't his fault we went down today, real gutsy effort.
Ugle is developing nicely and will be a more than handy player.
Really disappointing to lose in that manner with EF clearing the ball from our forward line far too easily. An absolute must win game against Swans in a few weeks.

Nice to have a new member on line worm burner. Good summary. But we must understand a lot of the posters on here have had 30+ years of heart ache so fair play to them

Do you watch the same game as the rest of us??

Detractors???
I think most report accurately on what they see, today was rubbish against fairly week oppostion,East Freo will not make the 4!

Teams win if 1 or 2 are off there game, thats not the problem, this taxing game plan is a huge issue.
Players get the ball theres noone to kick to because 18 players are bunched up behind the ball.
Watching players retreat around in circles dodging there own shaddow because theres noone there to kick to is becoming very frustrating and boring to watch.

The same player (O'Sullivan) let Peake goal exactly the same way twice in a row in that last term imo they were soft gets.

In a fortnight we will be 3 wins and 7 losses.Swans next followed by East Perth,no chance!

One question:
How many players have improved there game in the close to 4 years under this bloke?
White is probably the only one, guys like O'Sullivan,Houghton,Eyres,Florio have all gone backwards, there doesnt appear to be any real improved development in most players.
Every preseason he comes out and says "yeah we need quality KP's","rucks","mids".
Where are they??

There is the nucleus(dont we say that every year)of a good team to work with add some recruits that we bloody well need and we may go places.

geez that was gonna be a gutting loss for either fans yesterday.....whilst relieved to get the four points, still a shed load of soul searching left by both clubs in regards to where they want their 2014 seasons fortunes to go from here.

No doubt you boys definitely missed J Morton and Leyendekkers....no doubt others too....but those two are key cogs in your set up....EF were pretty much at full strength....easy for me to say hang tough..... 30 odd years of hanging tough would be wearing thin big time.....I guess as long as Perth keep getting themselves into positions of winning the game late in the 4th things will come your way one would think at some point....

it wouldn't be one of my posts without having a dig.....but I'm pretty tempted to jump off the Chalwell train....been a long 3 years plugging his ability..tall and athletic yet just lacks that killer instinct to take his game to the next level...has the Houghton train come to an end as well fellas?...or is there still life in that train ride for now?
