Houghton for CHB. Played well there in the Ressies. Will be his year is my call. Didn't like the look of the Bush in the couple of games I saw him in last year. But its a bloody hard game if you are injured. Was good at CHF in 2011.

Bateman should be used as on off player on the wing. Hamstrings don't stand up to the backline.

Think it is a shame about Jacobs as well as the other two.
Victorians still laugh at West Aussies because of the way we bailed out the vfl and then allowed it to be called it the AFL!

Houghton to play CHB in the preseason games and see how he does. If he has bulked up 6-7 KG's like has been mentioned then this should help. If he plays alright there in the preseason then he keeps his position for the opening couple of games.

A FULLY FIT Bush is definitely a bonus. I heard that he has returned in good condition and is running good times. 20 games would be great but if he is able to play 15 or more than this is good considering the amount of football he has missed.

Tedesco and Jacobs are big losses and this means that Irons and Hunt will have to step up to cover the losses.

As for the Morton boys I think Mitch will play more midfield with occasional stints in the forward line. Cale, well he has played all over the ground in recent years. Would say wing maybe a half back flank just get him into space and let him run and hit up targets. He did play forward in the U/18 championships for WA and he was a good overhead mark from the highlights package. He could play all over the ground and fill different positions based on the opposition each week. As for Jarryd can play half back, wing or as a third tall. More so with Cale and Jarryd they are capable of playing in 2-3 positions on the ground.

Would love to see Bateman hitting passes out the back pocket but just having him on the ground his a bonus. With his age last years injury problems then maybe he could rotate between forward pocket and stints in the middle.

I heard he was training. But that was said in December as well. One would presume that he has signed or is bloody close to signing if he has been training for 2 months.

I think that we will find that Clem will still be eligible for U18s this year so he may be tied up until after the 18s carnival but I would expect that later in the season he will get his chance at WAFL footy before being AFL drafted.
In fact, I expect 4 or 5 Colts players will get their chance to strut their stuff at league level before the season is over.

I know you are only selecting likely line-ups with the players currently on our list.

Thats a pretty small back line in your first line-up Mr AFL.
Irons,Hunt and Sinclair are all on the short side as well as lacking in league games played, they'd be lucky to have played a combined game tally of 30.
Im not sure they are all suited to the backline.
I stated in an earlier post that imo both Mortons should be playing off half back and i stick by that.

In both your line-ups what is the midfield make-up??
I think we are going to get smashed in the guts by the looks of it.
What i can see happening(which is nothing new to our game plan make-up) is robbing Peter to pay Paul because of our shortfalls all over the ground eg.The Mortons playing everywhere, midfield, forward, back shit they'll probably even ruck at some stage.
