Unlike some I haven't given up on Joel Houghton yet. He finished last season promisingly and if he can have an injury free run I think he could prove very useful and versatile.

I'm sorry but as much as i try i cannot get excited about that list of players and probable positions.

There are some good players in there but overall most of it average footballers.
For mine you shouldnt be recruiting 10+ point players to play half back.
Mitch Morton has to play forward forget half back!!

I reckon the list is best summed up (as being average) in your "Tall Forwards","Tall defenders" and "Rucks"

Providing we get Cale Morton I would then chase a tall marking forward.

If we don't get Cale then a tall marking forward is still a must and then either a ruckman or another tall(preferably one that can play forward or back).

Mr AFL I got the impression this kid (ruckman) from EP is a bit of a chance to be an addition.

He could be a cheap option for the ruck need.

Senior people are saying Chad is "burning" on the track. Not an option for me unless he improves about 1000%.

I think we have plenty of options up forward (add Mitch Morton), I am almost prepared to give the tall kids a go.

Other than Cale I think our recruiting is done and dusted, unless some cheap options arise.

Hmmm that's a worry because the gaps are still there. So all these big names being talked about out there a month ago, some of whom they'd lined up jobs for, have all fallen over?

I know its not easy to snaffle decent recruits but the problem is you have to improve to stay competitive in this league and when you are already off the pace over the top four teams it makes it even more imperative to improve. IF Smith, Tedesco and Leyendekkers are non-starters for 2014 then you'd be struggling to convince me that the list is improved from 2013.

DF I hope we are not done and dusted if we are able to pick up Blake Borret that would be good. He is a 192cm an 93kg CHF/Ruckman according to this years Bouncedown. Would only cost 1 point as he has not played any league games for the club.

According to Grump over on the East Perth Forum Aaron Sweet has gone back to the Amateurs. He has played 100 games exactly for East Perth, this makes him worth 7 points. Do Foxtel cup games count towards games totals for the player points system? If so that would take his tally to 103 and make him a 10 point player.

Then if we were able to get another tall for 5 points then this would be great.

In DREAMLAND or whatever you want to call it if you added say Borret, Sweat and Stockley to that list then it does look a little better But like I said all dreams atm.

Stockley was best mates with Haydn Busher, but hasn't he signed with someone else? Claremont I think?

I would have thought Borrett would be 3 or 5?
