Ex Claremont Ruckman Andrew Ruck has joined the demons coaching box as replacement for the departed Broadbridge! He finished up playing a couple of years back due to knee injuries I believe. I remember was a dominant force in the comp during the recent Claremont domination years.

He'd be handy on the field Lucifer. Still only 27/28 I think, had a couple of years off and is only worth a modest 7 points for a player of his ability.

Still though his experience at Claremont where he learned from the likes of Daniel Bandy and Michael Gardner should mean he can teach Eyresy and Leyendekkers and thing or two.

You guys wouldn't be able to pay him more than Wongan Hills are.

Country players always get more and are on decent pay packets for the weekend. Some average WAFL players can earn $500 plus for a game on the weekend. Not bad considering some of these teams are within a 1-3 hour drive and fuel gets paid for.

A MESSAGE FROM PAUL...

Our preparation for season 2014 is well under way and the boys have returned to pre-season in good shape which is pleasing. Our playing group is quite young but this brings a lot of enthusiasm and we are expecting these younger players to step up and have an immediate impact.

So far this pre-season the focus has has been on simple skill execution and getting some touch back which is easy to lose over an extended break. We also have a strong focus on being a strong contested team this year so the boys will be putting the hard work in the gym to match it with the bigger bodied teams in the competition. The standouts this pre-season have been Kieran Hug, Aaron Dow and big Chad Sandilands who are all making a strong statement to play senior football.

We are excited to welcome some new faces to our group including Mitch Morton and Gerald Ugle and new coaches - Andrew Ruck and Kade Lang who will bring experience from other WAFL clubs.

The players need your support this year as we aim to continue our improvement and become a real force in this competition. Please renew your membership if you havent already and encourage someone new to become a PFC member too (if purchased prior to 19 December they go in the draw for an Apple iPad Mini).

We want to make our ground a fortress and we need your help in season 2014.
