Smokey I think cale would be a good pickup and if he is confirmed a great addition. Everyone has forgotten he was taken at pick 4 in the AFL draft only 5 years ago! Morton on one wing and Bateman on the other good combo.

TFAF Billings is an underrated footballer and will no longer be taking the number one forward. Definitely strengthens our back stocks. By the way he was always taking a year off, that's what he said last year.

It's amazing how these blokes just re write history. Billings played in a reserves scratch match against Swans in early March. He obviously wasn't happy playing ressies. Now he says he always intended to have the year off.

Yep Cale confirmed. Despite what some would say on here, he should be a handy recruit for the Dee's in 2014. Now to just get Blake Borret signed up in the new year

Pretty sure looking at a list I did last month that we had 22 points left to spend on players. Cale is an 11 point player and Blake Borret, who I am pretty sure is the player that is running next to Eyres in the pic I put up last week is only a 1 point player. That would mean we have 12 points left. Hopefully 1 maybe 2 players to come out of that in January

Also good to hear that Jarryd Morton, Joel Leeson, Jarrad Irons and Joel Houghton are training strongly.

Whilst a lot of players at a lot of clubs are "training strongly" at this time of year from the training sessions I have seen, the above players look in pretty good knick.

Leeson will benefit from a full preseason this year, Morton as well and having spent 6 months adjusting to a new squad, Irons isn't injured and Houghton has put on 6-7kg's.

It will be interesting come preseason scratch matches to see who plays where and how they go

Mr AFL I hope we get Blake, he is young (just turned 21) and averaged over 15 hitouts per game.

Not huge numbers but is improving. Probably needs to improve his marking stats but hopefully that come with the help of our coaching staff. Don't we have a ruck coach this year?

I was happy to pick up Leyendekkers last year and I think this kid is worth picking up. Way in front of Sandilands IMHO.
