thing is Lucifer, the only two people who know why they left PFC are MacDougall and JKT themselves.....so you in fact you know as much as me, chopper, BTB etc.....you know as well as I, folk can say one thing in public(the 'right' thing) and another behind closed doors(the 'real' thing).....you have your theory and other folk have their conspiracy.....who cares whose right or wrong......but in all honesty it must be frustrating that if the likes of Young, JKT and Macdougall had of stayed, PFC probably would of been playing off in the second semi.......

no point taking all this anger out on the likes of chopper tho......blame those responsible I say.....the players and the coach.....but see the average fan won't do that....because these folk can do no wrong and that's where it all starts.......the building of untouchable ego's.....the only people to point the finger at for Perth's demise are McMahon and his players......not Chopper......at least the fella openly stated Subi's players were crap this season! ....let it go mate, like I will come Sat arvo at 5pm!......

Thanks for putting it all into perspective for me ice man.....Your wisdom truly is inspiring! You may have sensed some frustration in my post.......and yes it may be for a range of reasons including people and performance of our club. BUT one thing you can be certain about is its not about players who don't play for the Pfc anymore.......Could not give a flying and as I have said all year (yes everyone has been talking about other teams players for a year now) these two in particular left of their own accord.... for Christ sake one of them came out of retirement! So instead of me sitting back letting sloppy chops talk absolute crap I let him know a few home truths as I do with you, BTB and anyone else that thinks they know all about the Pfc when actual fact they know very little.......

Reality is a good coach will require one of our sponsors to cough up and I don't think the administration is in that position. McMahon cannot coach next year but our options will be limited without $

Bill Monaghan has just signed a 3 year extension with WPFC. Cant see Harrow going to WPFC club now especially if administration etc.
The man is a wonder coach and would be looking at Coaching IMO.
Now having said that I cant see a problem with your coach anyway. He did well with the players he had and you couldnt of expected much more.

Like I said Bomber Thompson nearly got the arse from Geelong before his two flags with them.

The Dees will be the big movers next year.

The way I see it is if Damien McMahon was to not have his contract renewed then the Club better have someone with experience and credibility waiting in the wings. Like a Darren Harris.

If there isn't then IMO McMahon stays.

Who else apart from Darren Harris is available?

Lets just look at what McMahon had at his disposal.
With AFL experience:Bevan,Bateman,Moody,Stack,Morton,Reimers,Irons,Ali Smith.
On AFL lists:McIness and Tunbridge
Vfl experience:Risol and Sketcher
Wafl Experience:Tedesco,Kane,Jacobs,White,Florio,O'sullivan,Deaves,Ransted.

I just listed 20 players and i reckon a list the board and supporters of the PFC would have been expecting a top 4 finish.
So Cardy i don't agree with your statement that "he did well with the players he had" in my eyes he failed with the players he had.

I wish you would stop comparing a powerhouse AFL club like Geelong and a very good coach in Bomber Thompson to the PFC and McMahon.
If you want to compare apples with apples,wafl club with club then compare the sacking of Williams at Peel,thats a much fairer comparison.

I dont know other than Harris whats out in the market place but we have 2 or 3 months to get a right appointment,for mine that is not a McMahon re-appointment!

Harris not interested in coaching. Now the WA boss of Leading Teams Australia. FFC use them and he has done some work with Peel this year...alignment rearing it head again!
Mcmahon is ok-you blokes have improved on last year after all

On the recruiting front I see that the NEAFL is reducing the teams in the competition from 19 to 14 from next year. The teams that will not be competing are Tuggeranong (ACT), Broadbeach (QLD), Labrador (QLD), Morningside (QLD), Mt Gravatt (QLD).

That's a lot of players looking for new homes in 2014. Maybe there might be 1-2 players that could fill a position at Perth!

If we looked back to The West Australian pre season lift out back in March I am pretty sure that nearly all the journalists / commentators picked us to finish last. We had lost Young, Davis, Kaylor-Thomson and Lower to name a few. Therefore you could say we have performed better than expected. However it has been very disappointing to lose the last 4 games and miss out on finals again. As far as McMahon is concerned I think 3 years is enough and maybe it's time to try someone new.
