Perth really are a very skinny side compared to most. I am willing to bet they are the skinniest!! Obviously that has something to do with being such a young side! We have no talls and no weight around the stoppages.......both are crucial to be competitive. Hopefully Brendon Kays has the boys in the gym over the offseason!

A contributor to our decision making errors can also be attributed to lack of experience. On Saturday we had no players who have played over 80 WAFL games.......that is a significant disadvantage. Again that would have to be the most inexperienced side in the WAFL ATM!!

IMO even 1 win from the last 3 will be a good effort from this team!! And yes Bazza hopefully its against souths!

I dont buy that, our disposal and decision making has anything to do with how "experienced" you are.
Im talking about kicking out of bounds on the full or kicking straight to the opposition both when under no pressure at all or just our basic decision making.
This is league wafl footy not junior footy.

We have had past seasons where we have had 10 wins...its unacceptable imo.
It may be a "good effort" compared to last season but its far from being a "pass" mark for the season!

We may have had our share of debutants this season but gee theres been some experience to go with it,AFL experience in Bateman,Reimers,Moody,Bevan,Stack,Ali Smith,Morton,VFL experience in Risol,Sketcher,Kane, wafl experience in White,O'sullivan,Florio,Jacobs,Tedesco even guys like Leeson and Hodge etc...On AFL lists McIness and Tunbridge.
Theres roughly 19 players and whilst they may not have 100 wafl games behind them they certainly are "experienced" in where they have come from and how long they have been in the system.

Very well said. I'm well past 10 win seasons being acceptable. Always nearly making it. Endless excuses for why not. You play footy to play and win finals.

This season will end as a disappointment if we don't make the finals its as simple as that. That squad proved for two thirds of the season they were capable, that's the most disappointing thing.

Of course when you're coming from such a low underachieving base as this club of course any improvement is welcome but that doesn't mean you should accept the failure to get the results that should have been achieved with the talent available. Surely someone needs to be accountable for that.

Bottom line is we had a real chance to have a good crack at the finals this season and we are gonna miss out again!

And Hypothetically you could also blame the Fremantle Dockers for you not getting a fair chance.. Read my post on Peel thread.. I would be livid if this happened to our club. WAFL it is no longer run by the WAFL but a bunch of self motivated Outsiders who have no interest in the WAFL except as a feeder for them...

perth are obviously better than in previous years. but peaking at the right time of year is what its all about. east fremantle to me look almost ready to storm home at the death knock. perth are tapering now and that isnt good.

perth should have swooped immediately on a player like Adam Prior, as soon as east perth announced a host deal with the eagles. he would have really dominated playing the key forward at perth, but he left and headed back east with no other interest shown. such a waste considering what a strong solid mark and kick he was. something like that rare opportunity shouldnt have been missed, if in fact a deal was possible. just a thought.

i see darren harris as an absolute must for perth next year.

There is no doubt about it cardy, the WAFL and the clubs are in for a torid time from next year on, I really hate too think how messy all this is going to end up, the saddest thing is the whole comp is just turning into a bunch of puppets for the monster that is AFL

Yes that's true. I've tried explaining the situation to family/ friends etcetera and most couldn't give a tinkers toss! One person told me to 'just, get over it'!!
A very sad end to a great competition of over 130 years :( :(

EXACTLY WestAussieguy... I have had the same problem (see the Peel thread) I find a few of my WP mates live in denial :( They have this big theory about the 2 Aligned clubs be total failures and playing in total disarray... Wont happen

I for one will not be supporting my club in a puppet comp as BAZZA says. Shame after over 100 years of history and tradition..
I will get over it but will the WAFL - NO I dont think so. Quiet bluntly I sick of argueing about it with lethargic WAFL supporters who along with their clubs could of DONE A LOT MORE TO STOP IT HAPPENING.

Shit Bazza I love that "A PUPPET COMP" So true and a great way to explain it
