Raponi said on WAFL WORLD that Perth will cop a 4 or 8 point penalty next year. Unfucken forgivable if that's the case. Whoever was responsible for that needs to fall on their sword.

Relax mate, only SFFC get the full 8 points.

No ones buying that DD.

Fair effort by Perth to breach the TPP and finish 9th - not exactly getting value for money!

So we are all believing what Raponi says.
What a reality that must be.

Where there's smoke...EFFC had the same thing last year when JT took it upon himself to act as a WAFC spokesperson. Perhaps Raponi thought he would get in first this season. The commission won't rush to make their own statement or to find  the leak.

Back to the topic. It is time for the WAFC to make lasting and sustainable equalization measures to zones. I know for a fact that significant numbers have been pointed out to the WAFC about our country zones in particular compared with Claremont and the numbers don't lie. You only have to look at which club wins the most Rodriguez Shields. Claremont who by due to their location enjoy the riches of mega rich families in the Western and coastal suburbs compared with our low socioeconomic metropolitan zones hugely populated with immigrants.

Albany has a population of 40,000 plus while Northam just 11,000. So how is it fair that the club with the strongest metropolitan zone enjoys the luxury of one of the highest populated country zones?

Giving Perth extra points and salary cap concessions is just a Mickey Mouse tactic to make them look like they are trying to address the bleeding obvious. Yet as we've seen having recruited 5 top liners in the past 2 years it's made little difference if half or more of them are on the sidelines injured.

Then the problem becomes how long can we keep them as we've seen already one of them is going home. And apparently 2025 is when our salary and points cap concessions end. Not sure how that works if we retain these players and recruit a few more. Do we have to cut them after 2025?

Still playing that broken record DD! So Im going to repost this.

The Shire of Northam is 12000. Don't forget to add in the Shires of York 3500, Toodyay 4700, Gin Gin 5500, Dandaragan 3500, Moora 2300, Irwin 4000.and Beverley 2000. Several other shires in your country zone at 500 to 1000. Probably a better population than Claremont's zone.

But none of the above population is factored into the WAFC zones - its based on participation rates in each WAFL zone so stop looking at population to support your confirmation bias.

How many of the 26 team of Yr11/12 Boys in the Metro Central Comp are Perth District teams - 7 or 8?

If you can't keep your best players on the park that's nothing to do with zones, you need to look at your program. Are the training standards up to WAFL level? Maybe your newly renovated oval is contributing - WC seem to struggle with injuries too.

Perths been given new areas in their zones, extra player points and an increased salary cap...and you keep failing to make finals, but you couldn't make finals when there was no PPS, no zones and the salary cap wasn't policed as closely as it is now so its not a new issue for Perth. over all that time its never been a lack of talent available to Perth its always been Perths inability to identify,, attract and retain talent.

A bit like you carry on like a broken record TT about how hard you work to identify talent. It's a lot easier job when you have loads of talent to pick from. When was the last time Perth produced 3 x AA in one season, ever?

TT
It's pretty obvious that it would be far easier to service a big town like Albany where you can run clinics etc in the same place and catch up with all clubs on the same visit than  smaller towns that are several kilometres apart..

How many league games have those 3 All-Australians played for Claremont DD?

Not sure Claremont’s produced an 8 x All-Australian and 4 x Coleman medallist like Perth has! Does that make your zone better?

How many Yr11/12 teams in your metro zone again DD?
