Let's face facts. We do not have a team with the ball skills, the physicality, the hard run and the basic smarts of the game.
Looking at our list there are only 8 players who I consider would get a game at any other league club.
Of those 8, 7 are recruits, 1 is home grown. Of the 7 recruits 4 are currently on the injured list.
Nothing has changed in over 50 years. Forget about zones and all other excuses,We just do not produce quality players in numbers and develop them into smart, skilfull  and physical players who are prepared to run hard in numbers, know where their team-mates are and what they are doing. Too many players do not read the play well at all. If there is any semblance of  game plan they do not understand it. Too many players are just not up to the standard of WAFL football.
If there is any doubt just consider that Claremont have been struggling at bit this season, yet today they looked a million dollar team. We are not even close to them or, for that matter, any other team in the League.
Fact.

Ted, the frustrating thing is that we try hard every game but are purely out of our league. Brave? yes, perhaps but does little to change the facts that we are not good enough. We are embarrassing. Best the media calls it as it is.

Notice how we are 20 metres off our opponents when they are bringing the ball out of defence?
No wonder it's easy to take it down from one end to the other and score easy goals.

And I don't have any forward defensive skills.
I'm sorry we are just fukn lazy.
