He did take some marks around the ground but was less than convincing in the ruck duels. For me, he is very disappointing this year. He does not seem to have stepped up which is something he needs to do soon if he still hopes to become an AFL player. He should be really standing out at WAFL level.
Despite his lean frame Leyendekkers has performed well for us and I believe that we should persevere with him on the ball.

I'm less worried about our ruck stocks this week against PT than I was last week when going in with only one ruckman against EP's gorillas was just insane.

Could Leyendekkers be paying the price for some fairly tame efforts in that last quarter versus Swans including one on the dying minutes when he got pushed out of the ruck contest way too easily?

Agree with you Smokey, McInnes is no where near it as a ruckman. What's the trade off, an extra midfielders like Mather maybe? We need a few more players to rotate through the middle so I can understand Mather getting the nod over Leyendekkers if that's how it pans out.

Nice try Johnno. Bush would be the last player to be purged by PFC. In any event, the club does not purge.. it makes changes.

MichaelMcDougall, neither Sandilands nor Morgan are anywhere near league standard and,IMO are most unlikely. At least Leyendekkers knows how to play but, as alluded to by Dazzler, he does at times suffer from the lack of a physical presence. That is something that the club has to work on him before the start of next season. He is still young (20yo) so he has time to develop and I believe that he will. He has the genes.

Busher not named in the side nor listed as an out. Anything known??

Getting along to every game builds the brand people. People criticise Peel supporters for not travelling. Let's set an example Demons. Even better if it's on TV. Can enjoy the win twice.
Victorians still laugh at West Aussies because of the way we bailed out the vfl and then allowed it to be called it the AFL!

I hope Mather plays League today. He deserves to be recalled to the League side. I think he played the first 3 this year, which were all wins of course.

I agree that we should have played 2 ruckmen against EP (or an extra tall defender though we're a bit short of those).

I'm pretty confident of winning all 3 grades today but we need to maintain a high level of intensity and fierce attack on the footy for 4 quarters.
