These are the type of games where Germo is going to find out a lot about who is going to be part of the big picture going forward. 

Yes, I agree and it would seem that process has started and will continue. This time next season we will have a good idea how it is progressing.

Just been speaking with old mate on the telling bone and the Perth footy club getting a mauling from the bookmakers. Apparently the Demons being quoted at over 12 $ for the win. Which sounds harsh when given the fact that matches between these two clubs are usually good games. Apparently the last 10 matches between EF & Pth has been 5 wins apiece.

Well actually free kicks was the one area they won today.

It's the ones they don't pay and where they pay the ones they pay that matters Ti Em. We rarely get them up front but get busted down back.

Overall a good effort, though it is a sign of where we are at that we walk away happy with a 28p loss. DBW was excellent, as was Avery. Davis was good. One massive clanger, but I think that is just his game. One real positive was getting goals from the midfield, especially given how poor our forward line has been. 3 from Davis, 2 from Thompson, plus goals from Byrne and Clarke was a good return. Negatives: Sinclair had a very poor game, and Q had no impact again. 

Cary should be close to making a return to the league team. AJ doesn't seem to be doing much at the moment. Gray getting good numbers in the reserves, but I can't see a place for him at the moment.
