Freez, Livingstone is a talent but still only 17 - will be 18 next month. He is in the WCE Academy so likely when drafted he will go to them. As a ruckman he hasn’t got the body for WAFL yet imo. I hope he does get an opportunity later in the season along with 1 or 2 others.
Yes, our Futures, Colts and ressies have started well so we should finally see talent emerging in greater numbers in the future.
For now we have to juggle the senior players. For me, Avery, Hunter, Jackson, Ajang must be injected asap.

Not a Perth supporter but I was there yesterday and it was a really defensive game, goals were hard to come by for both teams for three quarters. Like the Time for a Flag fellow said you were still in it at three quarter time. Ok, you threw in the towel in the last quarter and you got smashed on the scoreboard late but I haven't seen a Perth team play with such defensive structure like that for years so German's got something right there already. The fellow that tagged Erasmus cut him to bits.

Wouldn't surprise me if Perth come out and do one v EP TFAF. If there is one dept. Perth matches EP is in the midfield....Manzone  Byrne and  Thompson are mature bodies....

Not sure if you’re being kind or sarcastic there, Freeze. EP have the best midfield in the league IMO and we will be smashed there moreso than the last 2 weeks combined

Satan, no sarcasm mate, paid my dues for that. Perth's strongest area in my eyes is there midfield. Just got to find a few fellas to take a clunk up front....hopefully Hunter can deliver on that, because on paper he looks a decent size. Time will tell I guess.

Hunter is a player we have had high hopes for the last couple of years, but he missed most of 2021 and all of 2022 with injury. He has to come in to replace Q. I would also bring in Avery for Bird, with Avery playing an intercept marking role in defence and Sinclair playing as a tall forward. Jackson in for Barwick. Cooley and Clark got good numbers in the reserves and may be considered. Stack doesn't seem to have done much. AJ will need a couple more weeks in the reserves. When he comes back, it will presumably be at the expense of Martin.

Oh, and EP will flog us. Anything less than a 10 goal will be a good outcome.

Can someone elaborate what Quartermain did wrong ? I saw him tear Noah Pegoraro a new one with 5 goals in 15 minutes at Lathlain last year, Pegs is rarely beaten !!!

I do not recall seeing Q kicking 5 goals in a game and cannot imagine in a fit  he would against Pegoraro.
He did not want to play this season but was encouraged to return.
For mine, he appears disinterested and lazy. Only 2 games in but nothing will change him IMO.
If he was still in when we play WP next I don’t reckon Pegoraro will pick him up. He would be too useful picking up someone else.

You clowns calling for Q's head, you haven't got a clue. He's 20 years old ffs holding down a key position in a team with absolutely shite foot skills. Pretty fkn difficult for a leading forward. He's not getting the Rolls Royce service of Jack Buller at Claremont. He's not exactly surrounded by A-graders in that forward line either. German's given him a serve before for his work rate but on Saturday it was Kane Johnson at quarter time and Cody Howard at three quarter time who got a mouthful. Can't wait to see who it's going to be this week.

Just watched the first quarter of Perth v Peel. 0.3 to 2.1.
We had 4 set shots on goal - all getable all went far right. Could have easily have had 19 - 24 points.

Of Peels 13 points - 6 came from a quality goal from Wilson while another 6 came after a massive push in the back to our backup ruck - no free and than a wobbly goal to them. Dellamata looked good. Jy Lane not so good.
Victorians still laugh at West Aussies because of the way we bailed out the vfl and then allowed it to be called it the AFL!
