Despite the carry on of some on this site who seem to think they are the only ones entitled to an opinion, this crap can not be allowed to continue. You can not class the WAFL competition as a legitimate competition when you have one team getting beaten by 169 points and another that has played finals once or twice in over 30 or more years. The WAFL has presided over this bullshit and has done nothing to change the zones or equalise the competition so let's wake up and accept that there is no future for clubs like ours without some serious decisions being made.
I have suggested the fold or merge scenario previously but have been abused by those dinasours who I referred to earlier.
I have supported this club for over 55 years so don't give me the 'go somewhere else' crap. Come up with a better solution to this rubbish!

Oh dear. Froggy, you mentioned that the WAFL have presided over this for years. Not wanting to be too picky here as I share everyone’s frustration. But NO the WAFL has not presided over this at all. There is no WAFL. The WAFC has presided over this crap for years. The WAFL is only the name of the competition. There has not been a WAFL since the late 80’s. I guarantee that if there was a WAFL governing body, like every other competition in this state, this inequity would not be happening. On a bright note, colts had a good win and the ressies seem in control. Half the Perth reserves team has more possessions than the highest Peel possession winner. Might be a good thing playing the reserves after the league. The players out there at the moment must know there is likely to be a LOT of league positions up for grabs for next week. Good motivation it seems.

Have had a nice dinner and doing my best to destroy a very nice Shiraz but feeling relaxed and clear headed.
A few considered observations from today. It is quite obvious that we have several players who do not cut it for me as first 22. No names, I should leave that to the footy department.  They should know who.
What is clear to me that is that we must make changes and decide who are the players who can step up and make a positive difference. I believe those changes should happen as immediate as possible.

Jack Avery is our next best defender after Sinclair and Taylor. He had 36 touches in the ressies tonight and a similar number last week. Absolutely must come into the side without delay.
Jaiden Hunter 4goals last week and 5 tonight. must be considered.
Ajang only had 10 hit outs tonight but will improve with the run. DBW needs help on the ball. These two should alternate up forward.
Zac  Jackson had 40 touches tonight and his league figures are not shabby.
Jye Clark 32 touches tonight back from injury.
Jack Cooley 31 touches tonight and his league stats are not shabby. Might be handy vs EP next week.
Jack Bodle 6 goals from 22 touches tonight.
Sidney Stack, perhaps not quite ready but he is first 22 when he is.
I do not see us playing any of the Colts boys very much but there is some talent there…Livingstone, O’Driscoll, Scoble, McDonald, Warrell etc. I wouldn’t see them being rushed up but hope we see what they have got to offer the first team later in the season.

16 of the last 18 scoring shots to Peel FFS!

We do not have any goal scorers. It is an indictment that we have kicked only 2 goals in our last 6 quarters so changes must be made to our forward structure.

Perhaps the light at the end of the long tunnel is that your Colts are going very well, your ressies had a big win and your Futures have done very well, so some quality is there coming through the system, but will take a couple of years. Can't expect a new coach and a new system to turn things around in 2 games especially against an AFL loaded team.

That loss is F-All compared to some of the losses Perth have had in recent history (15years). 60 odd points compared to some of the 130 point smashing’s we have had.

You could argue that we were in the game at 3/4 time.

Futures, Colts and Ressies all had very good wins.

Things are happening for the better. Slightly better zones. Stand hopefully not too far away. Good kids coming through.

PG is two games in for Pete sake.

Sure it looks like The Q Train needs some time in the Ressies - let's manage him well.

The fella who has kicked 5 and 4 the last few weeks is an in but as we know there is a big step up from Ressies to League.

Interesting that after what I thought was a very good debut young Barwick seemed way off yesterday (by his numbers).

We will struggle against the big midfield bodies next week but I don't think East Perth will bury us like they did in the corresponding game last year.
Victorians still laugh at West Aussies because of the way we bailed out the vfl and then allowed it to be called it the AFL!

Just curious Froggy, who are those you say think they are the only ones entitled to an opinion?

The WAFL is like organised crime. They want to keep us on the strip as the whipping boys but the other 7 don’t want to give up “THEIR PRIVILEGES AND RICHES” they know they have. The West Australian Football Commission are a bunch of privileged entitled CUNTS.

We don’t have the cattle because it’s only a privilege afforded to other clubs. You gutless cunts on the commission are a fucken disgrace and you should hang your heads in shame.
Get on your bike.
It was Adam and Eve not Adam and Steve.

Wouldn't surprise me if Perth come out and do one v EP TFAF. If there is one dept. Perth matches EP is in the midfield....Manzone  Byrne and  Thompson are mature bodies....roll the dice on AJ up back, Hunter up front and Jackson on a wing for his run.

Perth under German, like EF did with Buffalo, will have their teething problems. Initially the not so good will over run the good and very good periods, but as folk have said Perth's lower grades are showing snippets....give Livingstone a run on the wing, couldn't do any worse  and the kid is a monty for an AFL gig next year, so do what you did with McDonald in his pre-draft year....
